After multiple date changes and even a change from having their events in Cardiff to London, Aisha and Rishi finally tied the knot and what an incredible few days of celebration it was!

I met Aisha and Rishi back in June on their pre wedding shoot and we totally hit it off. They said they were awkward infront of the camera, but I think they are total naturals. After the preshoot, I was really looking forward to being part of their celebrations as I knew it would be something special.

Aisha and Rishi’s Hindu wedding and reception party took place in the Ballroom at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London and it was beautifully transformed by Dream Occasions. Rishi arrived in style in an awesome Indian Tuk Tuk with LOTS of noise and brightly coloured flares down Park Lane, I’m sure the tourists were loving the scenes as much as I was capturing them!

The Hindu wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Pandit Soham Acharya who explained the wedding rituals in the perfect way. I knew the wedding ceremony would be full of emotion and I loved seeing the day as it unfolded. While documenting, I loved seeing the smiles between Aisha and Rishi as they were totally enjoying the moments! Check out the expressions, some of them are priceless! It’s easy to see that Aisha is very close to her family as the vidhai (leaving ceremony) was really emotional with lots of tears. Even though they are sad moments, they are priceless which I’m sure the family will appreciate.

Once the wedding ceremony was over, it was time to celebrate and DAMN, these guys partied Hard! DJ Vish hosted the evening and as usual, he rocked the dance floor which was packed out throughout the night! Awesome food, excellent speeches, incredible bar, lots of dancing and your nearest people, what more do need hey?

Aisha and Rishi, thank you So much for having me there to capture your wedding events, it’s been amazing being part of your wedding celebrations and I know these memories will last a lifetime and beyond!

Enjoy the moments and I’ll see you soon!

I’ve known Hemal for a number of years as I’m very close to his brother, (Meheer Shah who is an incredible photographer), so the pressure was well and truly on!

I have to admit, I loved documenting these micro weddings, I found them to be really intimate and everyone that attended would be fully engaged in the ceremony.

As you go through the photographs, you’ll see how happy and involved everyone is. The wedding was such a joy to document and the day was full of amazing emotion!

I have so many fond memories from Sonal and Hemal’s wedding and I’ve been really keen to share them since I started going through them….Imagine the scene, I’m looking through the pics the day after the wedding with a huge grin on my face thinking…OMG, this is something special.

Sandalwood Events did a stunning job with the incredible setup and Milan Mehta conducted an absolutely beautiful ceremony, but what makes this wedding, are the special moments between the couple and their loved ones!

Sonal and Hemal, you both are an amazing couple and I feel so honoured to have been part of your celebrations, just capturing those little moments between you and your loved really made the day special and I loved every second.

You guys are family to me, so your wedding felt Very personal and I wanted to go all out so I hope I’ve exceeded your expectations 🙂 Knowing that your bro is a top photographer added a little pressure, but hey…that’s a good thing 😉

I thought to myself, what a great start to the season and I said to Tejas that we’ve set a high benchmark for the rest of the year and we were pumped for our next shoot!

Shortly after, it soon became apparent that we were going into a national lockdown and 2020 turned out to be the year that no one was expecting. The next following months were unbelievable, towns and cities all over the world fell completely silent, families loosing loved ones to an invisible virus that spread so fast. It was time to plan and adapt.

All of my weddings were rescheduled, and the hope was that weddings and reception parties would restart towards the latter part of the year. While some couples did manage to adapt their plans and continue with their weddings, many have had to re-reschedule their special day to 2021 and I’m confident we’re going to have a great time celebrating later this year, It’ll def be worth the wait.

I wasn’t sure if I would put together my ‘best of’ 2020 but then I thought to myself, it’s a MUST, I love doing this every year and I get to relive the celebrations, so it’s key that I continue this tradition of mine! As you can see, I’m a little late in publishing this blog (Feb 2021) but better late than never!

Even though I only photographed a handful of wedding events, I still wanted to show the many beautiful moments from this year and while the celebrations were smaller, I know these moments are all very special to my couples.

So here we are, my Best of 2020! A huge thank you to all my couples for having me there capturing your special day, you adapted to the changing situations and it was totally worth it! I know I’ll be seeing some of you soon, which I’m looking forward to

To my 2021 couples, we’re going to have an incredible time at your wedding, it’s going to worth the wait. We can’t control what’s happening out there, but we can adapt and enjoy celebrating in many ways from the norm, whatever that is these days!

Happy viewing everyone, stay positive and test negative 🙂

Before Bhavik and I met, we knew of each other though facebook, and over the last five-ish years, we’ve worked together on many commercial projects and I’ve always been grateful for him for introducing me to many of my commercial photography clients.I’m inspired by Bhavik’s passion and drive in helping others through his charity work, his entrepreneurship (when it comes to his business), the way he adapts to different situation and his love of Indian religious/spiritual music (Bhajans), which I’ll go into later on.

I think it was at Bhavik’s birthday where I first met Janvi, she’s a super bubbly friendly person, and we discovered that we both have a LOVE for Nachos! I think between the two of us, we polished off a whole plate that night! It turned out that I may have photographed Janvi at an orientation event when she used to work for Accenture so I may her to dig those pics out for a laugh! Since then, Bhavik and Janvi have become good friends and it’s always fun hanging out with them!

When Bhavik proposed to Janvi I was super thrilled and I was overwhelmed when they asked me to photograph their wedding day, the pressure was definitely on!

Janvi and Bhavik’s wedding took place Before the UK went into lock down, I’m talking like, days before the official announcement! It was a beautiful sunny day back in March, we were blessed with awesome spring weather and I was extra excited as it was the first wedding of the season and after the wedding, I remember saying to Tejas that we’ve set a high standard for ourselves, little did we know how 2020 was about to pan out.

The wedding ceremony was taking place at of my favourite venues Northbrook Park in Surry. It’s an intimate venue in private surroundings and there are peacocks everywhere, one even decided to make an appearance before Janvi’s entrance!

The wedding day started off with Janvi’s Mandvo ceremony, which is a small blessing ceremony before the wedding. After the Mandvho, Bhavik and his family arrived in style with lots of noise, energy and plenty of dancing as both families came together, I knew what type of tempo to expect for the rest of the day.

With all Hindu wedding ceremonies, traditional songs are played (or sung) during different parts of the ceremony. I soon realised that Bhavik had sung each of the wedding songs and I was blown away like everyone else, it was such a unique touch to the ceremony and very personal.

I loved photographing the day as it unfolded and even though I was there  as ‘the photographer’ I felt more like a guests with my camera. I felt a sense of proudness seeing two people I’m close with finally getting married and seeing my bro Meheer as one of Bhavik’s best men, added to that proudness.

The evening reception party was brilliant, an elegant setup in the Orangery at Northbrook Park, lots of food, booze, killer speeches from everyone and an awesome party to end the wedding celebrations…everyone partied as if it was the last party of the year (LOL)

Bhavik likes to give opportunities to young talent and it turns out that the Dj for the night (DJ Barai) was only 15, and he has some serous talent, so much so that he’s now signed up to Musical Movements who are one of the top Asian wedding DJ’s in the country, I cannot wait to see how DJ Barai grows over the next few years.

I earlier mentioned that Bhavik has a passion for Bhajans and over the summer, he managed to crowdfund over £18,000 which will help fund the recording of a 7 track  Bhajan album with a modern twist, I’m def looking forward to receiving my copy. For more info, please go to https://www.bhavikharia.com and you can search for #keepbhajansalive on social media. Bhavik recently released his version of Hanuman Chalisa which has gone down really well and you can stream/download it on any major platform such as spotify, apple music etc.

Janvi and Bhavik, what can I say, it was my absolute pleasure capturing your wedding celebrations and I look forward to seeing you both develop as a couple. Pinki and I look forward to hanging out with you both again soon, eating Nachos and attending your future concerts!

    Enjoy the memories guys

The Manor has a special place in my heart as it’s a temple I’ve been visiting since I was child so it’s always nice to be there and be amongst the beauty of it all.

The wedding was full of joy and excitement as you would expect from a wedding ceremony and it was a pleasure capturing these special moments. Dipil’s entrance was fun, lots of noise and dancing and I loved the VW Camper van which matched Asha’s outfit colour 😉 The Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted by Vaisnava Das and I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a wedding priest. Everyone was happy throughout and I love documenting this. I guess after patiently waiting for this big day, it was great for the families to come together and celebrate and no doubt, that added to the enjoyment and emotion of the day.

After the phera’s (Walking around the fire four times), Asha sat down first and she even won the koda kodi game, so we know who will be running the house now that they are married.

Once we finished up at the Mandir, we drove down the road to a corn field where I had some portrait ideas with the camper van and in the field. It was definitely worth pulling over for so thank you for letting me keep you guys a little longer and I hope I didn’t make you too late for your dinner afterwards. Also, thank you Hayley from V-Dub rides for holding my light and making sure I didn’t get run over!

Asha and Dipil, thank you So much for choosing me to capture your wedding day, it was an absolute pleasure.

  • Thank You 2019

    Thank You 2019

And just like that, we’re at the end of 2019! It only feels like yesterday when I photographed the first wedding of the year way back in January and I’ve been fortunate to be photographing every month since then.

I feel very fortunate to be doing something that I absolutely love to do, I get to photograph two sets of families becoming one through the marriage of two individuals. From every wedding I’ve photographed, there has been something that’s really stood out and when I look back on my computer after each shoot, I get all excited and I have a fist pump moment and I know this these are the moments that really matter and this what this post is dedicated to, the moments that matter the most.

While I was compiling my Best of 2019 images, I got to sit back and really absorb all of the fantastic moments that I’ve had the privilege of capturing. It’s taken me several weeks to pick the final selection and I wanted to share So many more photographs, but I knew it wasn’t possible. From happiness to tears, crazy expressions, tight hugs to the little quirky things that make each wedding unique to them, this is what it’s all about and I hope you like what I’ve showcased below.

To my 2019 couples, what can I say? It’s been incredible to be a part of your celebrations, you’ve all become more like friends than anything else and it’s been a privilege to document one of the most important days of your lives. I hope in years to come, when you’re reminiscing over the album that you’ll drop me a call or message and say Hi! No doubt, I’ll remember you all J Thank you again for choosing me to photograph your wedding.

A Huge thank you to my brother’s Tejas, Meheer, Sailesh, Guv and Parag who have helped on my shoots, you guys have played a huge part this year, and I’m so gratefully for you all. A final shout out to my wife Pinki who has always been there and supported me thought my journey.

To my 2020 couples…I hope you’re ready for some fun, I know your weddings are going to be epic and I look forward to being a part of them!

    Enjoy the moments everyone.

  • Bhavisha and Neil’s wedding celebrations at Northbrook Park

Bhavisha and Neil’s wedding celebrations at Northbrook Park

A beautiful country manor in the English countryside, gorgeous weather, peacocks, family, friends, stunning scenery, partying till midnight with a sparkler finish…sounds like the perfect wedding day! And it truly was for Bhavisha and Neil.

The day started with the civil ceremony, followed by the Hindu wedding ceremony which was conducted by Arjun Pandey and then finally DJ Rugrat took over in the evening during the reception party. Everything took place at the stunning Northbrook park and I’ve been fortunate to photographs here quite a few times and it’s definitely one of my favourite venues.

Capturing the day was a lot of fun and I feel fortunate to be privy to such an important day for Bhavisha and Neil as I knew how important the day was for them both from when we first met, everything was planned perfectly to make it feel very personal to them and I loved the small little touches like the crate with the schedule of the day, the cute signs everywhere to the awesome doughnut cake that was made by Bhavisha’s cousin.

From a missing shirt, spontaneous twirls, family and friends everywhere, sunny weather, a small rain fall, smiles, a few tears, good food, emotional speeches, funky moves on the dancefloor and a sparkler ending, this wedding had it all and I loved being caught up in all of it.

While driving home, I knew there was something special about the day so the very next morning I started to find my favourite moments and they were uploaded to my Instagram page and the response to every pic was phenomenal, I knew their wedding had to go up on my site so finally here it is. I’m much better at taking pics than I am writing up about a wedding so I’ll let the photographs below tell the story of the day!

Bhavisha, Neil, it was an absolutely pleasure being part of your day, you make an incredible couple and I wish you a lifetime of happiness, enjoy the memories x

  • Maya and Jay’s Hindu wedding and Reception party at Hylands house

Maya and Jay’s Hindu wedding and Reception party at Hylands house

Maya and Jay’s wedding was one of my 2019 weddings and I had a blast capturing their Hindu wedding, Civil ceremony and Reception party which took place at the stunning Hylands Estate. ??I remember seeing Maya and her mum in the morning while they were getting ready and I managed to capture some funny expressions while Maya was getting ready, especially when her hair was in levitation mode! Sorry, Maya, ‘that shot’ has made it below.

Jay arrived in stlyw with his family and friendsand were happily greeted by Maya’s family. When both families came together, I noticed that everyone was just smiling throughout and I could see how close both families are. As the day unfolded, the wedding was full of emotions, from a few tears during the Kanyadhan ceremony (where Maya’s parents gave her hand away in marriage) to lots of genuine smiles and happiness during the pheras, koda kodi, the civil ceremony, all the way to the reception party. A day full of incredible small moments which was a pleasure to capture.

I’m so excited to share Maya and Jay’s wedding day with you, there were So many pics I wanted to upload, but I knew it would be way too many so here are around 80 moments that really stood out for me on the day!

Maya and Jay, thank you So much for having me capture your special day, it’s been great getting to know you both personally, you make an incredible couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

    Enjoy the memories!

  • Hindu wedding at Willesden Mandir in London

Hindu wedding at Willesden Mandir in London

Jessica and Vishaal’s Hindu wedding ceremony was the first one to take place after the refurbishment at Willesden temple and as soon as I walked in, I thought WOW! The refurb has completely changed the look of the main wedding space and it definitely looks impressive.

Jess and Vish are heavily integrated within the temple so it was only right that they have their wedding ceremony there. I still remember speaking to them about their connection with the with Mandir when we first met and it stuck with me throughout. Knowing how important the temple is, I had the opportunity to photograph Jess and Vish (individually before the ceremony) while they were getting blessings from their deity ‘Ghanshyam maharaj’. When Vish went for his blessings with his family, the atmosphere in the temple room electrified, everyone was chanting away and Sachin and I (Clearcut productions) walked away feeling super charged up and we were both Wow’d by the atmosphere and you could see and feel the strong devotion from the whole family. This clearly set the tone for the wedding and I was pumped and ready for what was about to unfold.

The Hindu wedding ceremony was attended by almost 900 guests and Milan bhai Mehta beautifully conducted the ceremony in pretty much complete silence which was amazing as being able to keep 900 guests quiet is a challenge! Jess and Vish’s wedding was full of fun, happiness, laughter and a very emotional farewell and I fully enjoyed being part of their day.

These are just some of the moments that I wanted to share, naturally there were a lot more I wanted to share, but I’ll leave them for the wedding album.

Jess and Vish, thank So much for having me to capture your special day, you guys make the perfect match and I look forward to seeing you both soon!

  • My favourite wedding photographs of 2018

My favourite wedding photographs of 2018

Wow, 2018 has totally flown by so fast! Its only feels like yesterday when it snowed back in February and then the week after I was photographing my first wedding of the year at Oshwal centre.

The 2018 wedding season has been epic and I’ve really enjoyed being part of my couples’ special days, I continuously say it, but I’m totally grateful to be doing something that I love to do every day!

Weddings for me are about capturing moments, I want my couples to relive their wedding day every time they look at their pictures from the details, to the different emotions, whether its laughter or tears, joy or sadness, wedding photography is a documentation of their day which I’ve had the honour of capturing and I know in years to come everyone will be able to relive the day.

This year was a little extra special for me as I hit a HUGE milestone, it was 10 years ago (in November) that I shot my first Indian wedding under my own name and I didn’t think I would be where I am today 10 year ago…what a journey it’s been and continues to be.

Throughout the year, I always like to pick my best pics as I go along, but it’s only when I was culling my fav pics for this post that I was able to fully appreciate and relive the weddings I captured. It was really hard going from approx. 20,000 photographs down to 900ish and now down to just over 150 of my favourite photographs but I couldn’t cut down any more and I’m absolutely Loving what you’re about to see and really excited to share something from each of my shoots.

It’s been a pleasure to work alongside some of the Best suppliers in the Asian wedding industry, there are too many to mention, but thank you all for your support through the year and I look forward to working along side you all next year and beyond.

I’ve grateful to have great people in my life who support me in what I do including my friends, family and of course, my wifey. With all of my shoots, I’ve been fortunate to have some amazing people helping out and you guys all know me better than I know myself, so a MASSIVE shout out to Tejas, Meheer, Parag, Sailesh, Dee, Guv and Jay who have all helped me throughout the year, you people are all epic!

And finally, to my couples from 2018, Thank you So much for choosing me to capture your wedding day, you’ve all been amazing and I’ve had a lot of fun hanging out with you and your closet people capturing your most special day. To my 2019 couples, I cannot wait to be part of your wedding events and I look forward to seeing you all soon!

So here we go, in no particular order, my favourite moments of 2018. I’m now off to chill, relax, eat loads and recharge for 2019.

  • Seema and Kushal’s Indian wedding at Sopwell House, St. Albans

Seema and Kushal’s Indian wedding at Sopwell House, St. Albans

I remember when Seema messaged me on Instagram asking about my availability for her wedding in June, I painfully had to say I was booked up. A few weeks later, Seema messaged me again saying the wedding was now booked for August and I was happy to say, that the date was available! Seema and I spoke for ages soon after and I loved hearing about her wedding plans and getting to know more about her and Kushal. Seema pretty much said to book them in for the day and a few weeks later, when Seema and Kushal came over, we got on really, really well! I knew this wedding would be special.

A few weeks before the wedding, Seema excitedly told me about all the small details they’ve put into the wedding and I love it when couples put in the extra touches to make their wedding that bit more personal to them.

Seema and Kushal’s wedding took place at Sopwell House in St Albums which is a stunning venue! The setup by Shagun Weddings looked gorgeous and I spotted all of the small personal item which were snapped away! I saw Seema while she was getting ready and when her friends and family were in and out and everyone’s reaction to Seema was WOW! It was fun capturing the little moments between everyone who came in to say hi, it’s the little key moments that add to the story of the day.

Kushal and his entourage arrived in true style, making lots of noise and dancing before the Hindu Wedding ceremony started, what a top entrance dude!…Kushal looked super smooth with his sisters, all with their sun glasses on and the biggest smiles!

The Hindu wedding ceremony was perfectly conducted by Gajendra Mehta and the ceremony was full of fun, laughter and amazing emotion, this is something I really picked up on from the day and loved it! One of my fav shots from the wedding is when Seema hugged her dad after the wedding, the smile on her dad, and the tightness of the hug is priceless!

In the evening, it was time to drink up, enjoy the celebrations and party hard! With it being a hot day, the drinks reception took place outside and I remember having to hide Seema and Kushal as we were taking portraits, we pretty much walked pass everyone, but thankfully, not many people saw us, PHEW!

As expected, Kushal was ripped apart by the best men and the reactions all around were awesome! When the dancing started, the whips were out along with wigs, inflatable items, hats, glasses, frames, it was a full on rave! It was also great to see other friends at the wedding and my previous couple Anika and Nikhil which is where Seema and Kushal saw my photographs.

Seema and Kushal, wow, what an amazing wedding day you guys planned! Every little thing was carefully planned and I had an incredible time photographing your big day. A huge Thank You to you and your families for being incredibly welcoming, I felt more like a friend than just your photographer and I look forward to hanging out with you both soon!

    Enjoy the moments everyone!

  • 2018 Photography Awards

    2018 Photography Awards

For the third year running, I decided to enter a selection of my wedding photographs into the prestigious SWPP 20×16” print competition and what an experience it was! I nervously sat behind the judges (with my friends) watching my photographs come up and then getting critiqued, debated over and then finally marked out of 100!

I was really happy with my final scores which ranged between 80-84 which means that each photograph has been awarded a Merit Award which I’m really proud of.

Sitting in the back the room listening to the judges was well worth it, I could see where I lost marks and more importantly where I could’ve improved in terms of settings, editing and composition, naturally I’ve taken this all away and it’s something I’ll strive to improve this year.

What really took me by surprise was that one of my photographs had made it as a finalist in the Wedding category ‘Reportage/ Photojournalism’. I didn’t believe my friend when he told me of the news, and it was only when I saw the ‘Finalist’ ribbon that it sunk in! This was a huge achievement as I didn’t expect to be considered a finalist, but what a feeling! Along with my wife, we went to the awards dinner and overall my photography was given 3rd place which I was really pleased with. It’s spurred me on to capture more and more amazing photojournalistic moments and I’ll most definitely be aiming for the top spot in next years’ competition 😉

On a personal level, I encouraged several friends (who are brothers to me) to enter the competition too. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting with them over the last few years and I’m so proud of how they’ve developed. I was really happy that they too had won Merit awards so a Huge congrats to my bro’s Meheer, Jai and Shashi on your achievements, I look forward to seeing what you guys produce this year.

Finally, a Huge Thank You to all of my couples who have entrusted me with capturing their day as without that, I would not have achieved the awards, you guys are awesome!

Congrats to all the photographers that entered and won, see you all soon!

  • The moments of 2017

    The moments of 2017

I feel very grateful in doing what I do on a daily basis, I get to capture memories for people that will become family heirlooms in years and centuries to come, I document history for families and this is my ‘job’. I’m fortunate to say that I absolutely LOVE doing what I do.

This year’s wedding season has been incredible, I’ve had the privilege of capturing, smiles, laughter, love, tears of sadness and joy. I love getting close to my couples and getting to know them and their families, this is how I get to capture the best moments from every wedding I shoot. Over the year I have had a lot of great banter with my couples and the end result is that we become more like friends rather than me just being their photographer. With every wedding I photographed, it’s always a bit emotional when leaving to go home, it’s like I’m one of the guests saying goodbye.

After every wedding I shoot, I always start picking my favourite shots and many of them end up on my Instagram/Facebook page. Once the season has finished, I love going back through each wedding I’ve photographed and I start selecting my favourite moments. It always brings a smile looking back as I get the chance to reflect on the moments captured and I’m always amazed with what I see.

To my 2017 couples, thank you ALL for allowing me to photograph your wedding day, it has been a pleasure being part of your special day. I wish you all the happiness in the world in the years to come and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
I think that’s enough writing for now so please enjoy the moments below, and Thank you so much for your support this year.

Reena and Nilkanth’s civil wedding and reception party was another favourite of mine from this year. One Great George Street was a venue I had not photographed in before and I was excited to shoot somewhere new wand when I saw the venue, I thought ‘WOW!’

What really gets me excited for a shoot is seeing my couples and capturing their special day and after all the amazing banter from the preshoot, I knew Reena and Nil’s wedding was going to be a lot of fun.

After photographing the décor and setup, I meet Reena and Nil while they were getting ready, infact Reena was helping Nil with his hair, now that’s something you don’t’ see everyday.

Capturing my couple’s personalities is really key for me, I follow Reena on Instagram and she’s always posting something from her day and as expected, she was posting on her wedding day…in her wedding outfit! So, it was only right to capture that, it’s definitely you Reena!

As the families started gathering, there was a huge buzz in the aie and it was a lot of fun photographing everyone coming together from both sides of the families. The Civil ceremony began in the afternoon and everyone was smiling and laughing throughout, Nil got his words mixed up which gave everyone a few laughs, but apart from that, it all went smoothly.

After the civil, we headed out into Westminster to take some portraits, this was another first for me as I’ve never photographed a bride and groom in Westminster, it was challenging due to the number of tourists around but I’m always up for a good challenge, plus the lighting was just right 😉

Once we got back, the evening reception kicked off with Reena and Nil’s first dance which was beautifully choreographed, and then soon after some emotional speeches, lots of food and then more dancing!

I think that’s enough text for now I’ll leave the photographs to show how the day evolved.

Reena and Nil, it’s been fantastic getting to know you both and I thank you once again for choosing me to capture your wedding events, I’m sure the moments captured will give you guys a lifetime of happy memories. I wish you all the happiness as Mr & Mrs!

    Happy viewing.

  • Varsha and Kunal’s Wedding at The Dorchester Hotel, London

Varsha and Kunal’s Wedding at The Dorchester Hotel, London

Varsha and Kunal recently got married at The Dorchester hotel in central London and what an awesome day it was!

The day started off with Kunal and his family proceeding with dhol players down Park Lane, I’m sure the tourists must’ve been snapping away as everyone made their way to the venue. Soon after breakfast, the Hindu wedding ceremony took place and this was beautifully conducted by Pandit Kamal Pandey. Varsha and Kunal are some-what shy but I loved capturing the little moments and smiles between them and you can clearly see they are made for each other! Varsha and Kunal said they are a bit awkward in front of the camera, but based on the moment captured, I think they are awesome infront of the camera. I loved capturing the day as it unfolded with everyone coming together and having a lot of fun.

The wedding reception party followed in the evening and this was one of fav ones to date with quite a few memorable highlights. Kunal’s 5-year-old niece did a speech and it was the best speech I’ve ever heard. Kunal’s niece memorised a 4-page speech and barely looked down at what was written and the delivery was spot on, ripping into Kunal and Varsha throughout, everyone was in hysterics and at the end there was well deserved standing ovation! The best man after had a tough act to follow, he did pretty good 😉
Varsha and Kunal hired a glitter artist (Dave Sharps Arts) and on a black canvas he started painting something with glue, but no one could see what he was painting. After Dave was done painting, he threw a load of glitter onto it and it revealed a portrait of Varsha and Kunal, pretty awesome hey?!

Once the flaming desserts had been served, it was time to burn off the calories and the dancing kicked off with Varsha and Kunal’s first dance followed by an epic party hosted by Jas from Kudos Music. I won’t say much about it, just enjoy the pics below and you’ll see how incredible it was.

The wedding moments captured are a true reflection of an amazing day and I wish Varsha and Kunal all the very best for the future as Mr and Mrs Patel, I’m sure the photographs will bring back a lifetime of memories that they will cherish forever.

  • This is twenty16

    This is twenty16

2016 was a super fun and intense year and I’ve loved every wedding event I’ve photographed. I’ve walked away with something special from every shoot which I’m super proud of.

I feel like I’ve really pushed myself on every shoot, thinking differently and making it that slightly more unique for the couple even though I may have shot at the same venue several times in the year.

My ‘Best of 2016’ is more than just about showcasing wedding ceremony, it’s about the moments in-between that may not necessarily have anything to do with the wedding ceremony itself but it’s part of the day and I feel honoured to have captured these special moments.

I wanted to showcase my favourite detail shots, the emotion, a selection of beautiful portraits. The photographs had to show the fun, laughter, joy and tears that come with a wedding celebration and of course the love between the couple, and lets not forget capturing two families coming together! One of my groom’s told me that the wedding photographs are So important as some of the people in the photographs may never see each other again so it’s important to capture these moments…that really stuck with me and it’s one of the driving forces when capturing a wedding.

When I started selecting my favourite 2016 wedding moments, I started off with over 1000 photographs from all of the events I have covered this year and I set a target to showcase around 125 images. Having started the culling process of getting down to my fav pics, I started to struggle as there are SO many awesome moments that I wanted to show but I had to narrow it down which has taken me 3 days! Looking back at the photographs I’ve narrowed it down to, it really made me smile and proud as I know each photograph is something really special to my couples and their families and I hope the moments captured will bring back the memorise of a one in a life time event.

I’m really proud of the photographs selected and I have to say a Massive Thank you to All of my amazing couples that have allowed me to capture their special day and for entrusting me with this once in a lifetime opportunity. You guys all rock and I look forward to a continued friendship with you all

I’ve no idea what 2017 will hold, but I know it’s going to be epic! So in the meanwhile….here we go, This is Twenty16, see you all next year.
