And that, was 2020

I remember after finishing the first wedding in early March 2020 I was buzzing from an incredible wedding. I thought to myself, what a great start to the season and I said to Tejas that we’ve set a high benchmark for the rest of the year and we were pumped for our next shoot!

Shortly after, it soon became apparent that we were going into a national lockdown and 2020 turned out to be the year that no one was expecting. The next following months were unbelievable, towns and cities all over the world fell completely silent, families loosing loved ones to an invisible virus that spread so fast. It was time to plan and adapt.

All of my weddings were rescheduled, and the hope was that weddings and reception parties would restart towards the latter part of the year. While some couples did manage to adapt their plans and continue with their weddings, many have had to re-reschedule their special day to 2021 and I’m confident we’re going to have a great time celebrating later this year, It’ll def be worth the wait.

I wasn’t sure if I would put together my ‘best of’ 2020 but then I thought to myself, it’s a MUST, I love doing this every year and I get to relive the celebrations, so it’s key that I continue this tradition of mine! As you can see, I’m a little late in publishing this blog (Feb 2021) but better late than never!

Even though I only photographed a handful of wedding events, I still wanted to show the many beautiful moments from this year and while the celebrations were smaller, I know these moments are all very special to my couples.

So here we are, my Best of 2020! A huge thank you to all my couples for having me there capturing your special day, you adapted to the changing situations and it was totally worth it! I know I’ll be seeing some of you soon, which I’m looking forward to

To my 2021 couples, we’re going to have an incredible time at your wedding, it’s going to worth the wait. We can’t control what’s happening out there, but we can adapt and enjoy celebrating in many ways from the norm, whatever that is these days!

Happy viewing everyone, stay positive and test negative 🙂

To all the Front-line workers and volunteers that have been working tirelessly throughout this year, Thank you for everything you have done for us all!
