Meeta and Paren’s Hindu wedding at Cambridge Marina

Meeta and Paren hosted their Asian/Indian wedding events over two days at the stunning Cambridge Marina. It was a weekend full of smiles, genuine moments and lots of hugs between the family and friends. This is what I absolutely love to capture on a wedding celebration.

The two days were a lot of fun to capture and I had an absolute blast hanging out with both families. Having photographed Meeta’s sister’s wedding almost 9 years ago, it was lovely catching up with everyone (especially meeting the new additions) and also getting to know Paren’s family. ??

The Hindu wedding took place with the backdrop of the Cambridge countryside which was perfect for the ceremony. The weather played its part as it was hot and sunny. I have to admit, I wanted to jump in the river straight after the ceremony but I resisted!

The day after the Hindu wedding, Meeta and Paren held a garden party in the afternoon and that was an absolute laugh! Big Jenga’s, basketball hoops, bowling, a bouncy castle for the kids, although it was packed with the adults. I even jumped in with my cameras to capture the fun! Soon after in the evening it was time to celebrate till late in the evening and I had a blast with everyone at the reception party; wait till you see the photographs and you’ll see how crazy it was!

Meeta, Paren (and families) Thank you ALL for making me feel so welcomed and part of the celebrations, I feel like I’ve gained a whole new Patel family and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

These are a few of my favourite moments from the two day which I love; real genuine moments which shows how much fun everyone had.

    Enjoy the moments!

  • Sanjay and Harry’s Asian wedding celebrations

Sanjay and Harry’s Asian wedding celebrations

During the summer, I spent three incredible days capturing Sanjay and Harry’s wedding events and I have loved every moment! We started off with the Civil ceremony in Oxford followed by a meal at McD’s! The following day was the Mandhvo and Pithi which was mental, both Sanjay and Harry were fully plastered like Bhajias ready to be fried!

The evening was a chilled out Pizza party with entertainment from the talented Bollyqueer with their incredible dance performance, and let’s not forget Harry’s surprise dance, Sanjay was shocked! In typical gujji style, everyone started doing Garba soon after!

Keeping to old traditions from many generations ago, friends and family all helped make the wedding garlands and arranging florals. I Loved that everyone was able to give their Arshivad/Blessings to the couple by staining their right hand on the antrapath, even Ridhesh (the videographer) and I were asked which was an honour. The antrapath even had chundari’s (and sindoor) from various temples (in India) that Sanjay and Harry visited together, again more blessings for the couple.

Now onto the big day…oh my gosh, there was so much fun, laughter, joy and a few tears…Oh and there was an elephant during Sanjay’s jaan entrance! The Hindu wedding ceremony was full of intimate moments that I loved capturing and I really feel that made the day unique. Harry won both the sitting down competition AND the Koda Kodi, the reactions say it all!

Now, imagine an evening Civil ceremony taking place on a riverbank in Oxford while the sun was setting, sounds great hey? This is Exactly what Sanjay and Harry did and it was beautiful and very very emotional. There was a reading of a poem titled ‘The Birds and Bees’ which was very moving and many guest were left with tears in their eyes. I felt it too.

Soon after, the smiles and laughter were back in full swing and it was time to celebrate with an incredible evening of drinks, food, speeches and lot of energy once the dance floor.

Sanjay and Harry, I had the Best time with you both and your loved ones. I feel your wedding celebrations were full of your fun personalities while incorporating the Hindu wedding traditions, which is incredible and I feel privileged to have been part of the celebrations. I hope the photographs last a life time and beyond, and I hope they are a catalyst for anyone in the LGBTQ community that has dreamed of having a Hindu wedding.

Much love to you both and here’s to a lifetime of happiness as MR&MR!

Enough chit chat, enjoy the moments!

  • 2025, a wedding season of authentic raw emotion.

2025, a wedding season of authentic raw emotion.

I love compiling my favourite moments from the weddings I’ve photographed each year, and this is something I have been doing since 2015. Going back through each wedding gives me a chance to relive the wedding events and I’m always wowed by what I have had the privilege of capturing during the most intimate moments where emotions truly vary amongst loved ones.

From tears, joy, sadness, stress; all the highs and lows that a wedding day can bring, it’s an honour to be invited into a close circle to witness and capture moments that will last a lifetime and beyond. So, thank you to my 2025 couples.

It’s true that there is a set formula to every wedding day and the little moments could be lost amongst the rituals and ceremonies, but for me the little moments are the most important thing to capture as that’s what makes each wedding (I photograph), unique and this what I want to show.

My focus on any wedding day is to simply capture genuine moments filled with authentic raw emotion that unfold when you have your closest people in the same space.

I love capturing closeness, love, personalities on a wedding day and not to copy trends going viral on social media; trends fade, but capturing the real-ness of my couples’ day, whether it’s perfect or messy lasts a lifetime as that moment will be relived every time the photograph is seen.

Picking the selection below was a tough task (I say it every year)! I’m emotionally drawn to each photograph, so going from around 23,000 photographs delivered, down to 1800, then to 500, I settled on just under 150 photographs that I feel really focus on what I love about wedding days, and it comes back to capturing Real Moments, Raw Energy, Pure Emotion. The wedding day is much more than just capturing the ceremony itself; I love seeing people come together and capturing the tight hugs, the laughter, the tears, the energy, the small interactions, and I feel my couple’s vibe with this too.

I’ve been truly touched by some very kind words by my couples in person, on video calls, WhatsApp messages, and reviews. At one wedding, I went bright red and tried to hide as I was totally speechless by the kind words of the groom during his speech! I’m always humbled by the kind words received, so thank you everyone for your kind words.

My 2025 couples, a HUGE thank you for trusting in my vision when capturing your wedding day. I have fond memories of each wedding I’ve photographed and had a great time with your friends and family. I know the photographs will give you endless memories to remember, and I’m humbled to have been a witness to such a special day. I look forward to seeing you soon.

I’ve had great support on many of my shoots, so a huge thank you to Tejas, Sailesh, Meheer, Dev, and Kavi for your help. You have all been amazing and you always bring the highest level of energy when we’ve shot together. I look forward to many more shoots together.

The Ninedots community has been a huge influence on my work; it’s shaped my style of photography and it’s a privilege to be part of a strong community of top photographers. Speaking onstage to 150 photographers was an honour as I was well out of my comfort zone, so thank you Ninedots for pushing me.

To my family and friends, thank you for your support as always, especially to my wife Pinki, who has been there throughout.

Finally, my 2026 couples, I’m very excited to get to know you all, and to share your wedding stories. We’re going to have a lot of fun, so let’s do this!

For now, in a randomised order, here are my favourite moments from the weddings I captured in 2025.

    Much love
    Sanj

If you’ve made it down to the last photograph, Thank you for going through each photograph! I’d love to hear your thought on my selection so feel free to message me on Instagram.

  • Sonia and Timal’s Hindu Wedding at Fennes Estate, Essex

Sonia and Timal’s Hindu Wedding at Fennes Estate, Essex

Sonia and Timal had an incredible two-day Asian wedding celebration at Fennes Estate in Essex. They had a dream of having an outdoor Hindu wedding as the grounds are absolutely stunning, so they went for it. Up until a few days before the wedding day, I had only spoken to Sonia on the phone and exchanged messages on whatsapp, but when we met, I felt like we’d known each other for a long time and I was very excited to be part of the celebrations.

The day before the Hindu wedding, Shiv (the videographer) and I encouraged Sonia and Timal to have the wedding outdoors even thought the weather reports weren’t that positive. We even made a wish to the weather gods that night! But guess what? The next morning, it was grey clouds and a bit chilly. I was worried, wondering if we had made a mistake by encouraging an outdoor wedding. But then, around 9 am, the sun broke through, and it warmed up perfectly for an outdoor wedding, Phew!

It was worth the risk, and the Hindu wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful, with the stunning grounds as the backdrop. I even got a tan!

Timal’s lively process kick-started the day, and everyone was buzzing with energy. The excitement carried on throughout the day, and I had an absolute blast capturing the wedding ceremony as it unfolded. The Hindu wedding was conducted by Sunday Dar, and everyone was captivated by the different rituals and it was the perfect balance of tradition with a modern twist.

After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate, and these guys partied like crazy! I don’t think I ever saw the dancefloor empty. It was all thanks to DJ Rugrat and the Musical Movement team.

Throughout the day, there were a mix of emotions – smiles, joy, laughter, fun, and even a few tears. That’s what a wedding is all about, right? I had an incredible time being part of Sonia and Timal’s day, and I absolutely love how the photographs have turned out.

Sonia and Timal, thank you so much for choosing me to be part of your wedding day. I had an amazing time with you and your loved ones, and it was an honour documenting your special day.

Much love to you both, and I can’t wait to see you soon! Enjoy the memories.

Photographing Deepa and Dharmesh’s Indian wedding was a blast! A beautiful HIndu wedding in the morning and then a reception party that was insane, one of the wildest I’ve ever shot.

I met Deepa and Dharmesh a few months back when I captured their civil wedding and I was thrilled to document their Hindu wedding and reception party. I also had two other couples at the wedding, so it was great to catch up with them too.

The wedding took place at The Great Barn in Harrow. I loved that it’s just a five-minute drive from my home (bonus!). It’s a really cute barn and it’s quite unique as a wedding venue since there aren’t many barns in the area that can host Indian weddings. It was the perfect backdrop for Deepa and Dharmesh’s wedding, and Om Creatives did an amazing job with the mandap and décor setup.

The day started with the traditional Hindu wedding, conducted by Pandit Ram Bhai. He delivered the Vedic wedding ceremony in his charismatic way.The wedding ceremony was full of small, intimate moments and expressions that I loved capturing. Deepa and Dharmesh are such a fun and happy couple, and their personalities shine through in the photos. That’s something I love being able to show.

Once the Hindu wedding was over, it was time to party and I didn’t expect how wild it would be! I even stayed until the very end, because I didn’t want to miss out on capturing the fun, madness, killer and dance moves (and lots of expressions, alcohol, and amazing music). DJ Nills, you were on fire, so much so that I think the dancing photographs show how crazy the party was.

Deepa, Dharmesh, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I had an absolute blast with you and your loved ones, and I can’t wait to see you again soon!

    Enjoy the moments!

  • Riya and Neel’s Hindu Asian wedding celebrations at Braxted Park

Riya and Neel’s Hindu Asian wedding celebrations at Braxted Park

Photographing Riya and Neel’s Asian wedding celebrations was an absolute blast! They’re both as crazy as each other (in the best way possible), and I loved capturing their true personalities throughout the day. That’s what I loved most about the day. From crazy expressions to cheeky banter, non-stop laughs, Riya and Neel’s wedding was a definite favourite.

When I met with Riya and Neel over Zoom, we instantly hit it off and started to become great friends. After spending a morning with them on their prewedding shoot, I found out how crazy they are, and I could see how well they’re meant to be together.

Riya and Neel’s wedding took place at the beautiful Braxted Park in Essex, and it’s the perfect setting for a Hindu Asian wedding. Even though the weather was typical British, it didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the day. We even embraced the rain for the couple portraits!

The day started with Neel’s lively arrival with his whole entourage accompanied by dhol players. When both sides met, the liveliness increased, and I knew it was going to be a crazy wedding! The first ceremony of the day was the Hindu wedding ceremony, which was beautifully conducted by Milan Mehta. He made sure that all guests fully understood the different stages of the Hindu wedding.

After the Hindu wedding, the civil wedding took place, and then it was time to celebrate and dance the night away. The dancefloor was packed throughout, and the expressions, well – you can see for yourself shortly!

Riya, Neel, you guys (and your loved ones) are amazing! I feel so lucky to have been part of your wedding events, and it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both. No doubt we’ll see each other again soon!

    Enjoy the moments!

Vanisha and Kabir’s Hindu wedding at Shendish Manor, Hertfordshire

Photographing Vanisha and Kabir’s Hindu wedding events were an absolute joy! I had the pleasure of photographing three Pre-wedding events in the build-up to the main wedding ceremony so I got to know everyone really well and I genuinely felt like one of the family.

I met Vanisha and Kabir in person a few weeks prior to the wedding, but I felt like I was photographing friends that I’ve known for a long time and this helped me blend in and enjoy myself thoroughly.

The Hindu wedding took place at Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire and was beautifully conducted by Priest Milan Mehta. The day was a rollercoaster of emotions and for me, I loved capturing the little moments throughout the day where you see Vanisha and Kabir’s personalities where you can see/feel how close they are with their families. I feel that this is really important to document as these real moments, as they matter the most on a wedding day, in addition to the rituals being performed. I’ll let the photographs do the talking as this is a set that I’m very excited to share.

Big Thank You Vanisha and Kabir for having me there to capture your Hindu wedding ceremonies and for the warm hospitality from all of your loved ones. I hope the moments captured help you re-live your wedding day with huge smiles.

Much love to you both and enjoy the moments below.

  • My favourite wedding moments captured in 2024: A Season of Love, Laughter and Memories

My favourite wedding moments captured in 2024: A Season of Love, Laughter and Memories

Putting my thoughts into words about this past wedding season always feels more challenging than selecting my favourite photographs—something I find myself saying every year!

This year was especially meaningful as it marked fifteen years since I officially registered my wedding photography business—a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. Even after all this time, my love for photographing weddings remains as strong as ever. There’s something truly magical about capturing the beautiful, fleeting moments between loved ones, knowing how cherished these memories will be for years to come. And honestly? It’s a lot of fun, too.

I’ve loved every wedding I’ve photographed this year and feel so blessed to do what I love year after year. To all my incredible couples: a massive thank you for trusting me to document your big day. You’ve each been such a joy to work with, and I look forward to continuing the friendships we’ve built along the way.

Choosing the photographs below was no easy task—again, the same story every year! But as challenging as it was, I genuinely enjoyed revisiting these moments and reliving the joy, love, and connection I witnessed. What I’ve come to treasure most about wedding photography are the little things: the human connections, the energy of the day, and the authentic moments that unfold naturally. When selecting my favourite photographs, I focused on showcasing these elements, and I hope this shines through.

To my incredible industry friends and peers: thank you for your continued support. Working alongside you has been such a joy, and I look forward to doing it all again next year.

To my family and especially my wife Pinki, thank you for always being my rock, your support and encouragement mean the world to me.

To my amazing support team – Tejas, Sailesh, Meheer, and Dev, I’ve had the best times shooting with you, and I’m so grateful for everything you do. Stay awesome and keep pushing yourself!

Finally, to my 2025 couples: we’re almost there! I’m so excited to be part of your celebrations and can’t wait to capture incredible moments between you and your loved ones. Let’s make magic together!

For those newly engaged couples, feel free to say hi, I’d love to hear about your wedding!

As always, I wish I could include even more photographs, but I feel this selection strikes the perfect balance. In no particular order, here are my favourite wedding moments of 2024.

    Much love,
    Sanj

  • Anisha and Bhav’s London Asian wedding celebrations

Anisha and Bhav’s London Asian wedding celebrations

Anisha and Bhav’s Hindu wedding, Civil and Reception party took place over the summer and I have to admit, it was one of my most memorable weddings to photograph. I got to know Anisha and Bhav the year before having photographed Anisha’s cousins wedding so I was looking forward to seeing many familiar faces once again. Before the wedding, I found out that I knew a lot of Bhav’s family too and that we’re somewhat distantly connected/related so the pressure was on!

The Hindu wedding took place at Anisha’s family home in south London and I love the idea of a home wedding, it was so personal and the weather was on our side. Anisha’s dad built the Mandap where the ceremony took place and it was the perfect setting for such an intimate event.

The celebrations started with Bhav’s and his family arriving, waking up the neighbourhood! His entrance was lively as anything and when both families met, the lively-ness went up a notch! I have to admit, the Milni was so much fun to capture, pretty much all family members got involved and it set the tone for the rest of the celebrations. Both sides are equally crazy and up for a good time. The Hindu vedic ceremony was perfectly conducted by Vasudev Mehta and his ceremony was on point, perfect explanation of the different rituals and the right level of enjoyment for everyone to enjoy. The wedding was full of fun emotion as expected and you can see how close the families are. I loved capturing Anisha and Bhav’s fun nature on the day and their personalities really show in the photographs.

The following week, Anisha and Bhav had their Civil wedding and reception party at The Landmark London hotel in London and it’s a stunning location for any wedding event. I have to admit, I was really nervous on the day. During the week, I sent Anisha and Bhav some teasers from the Hindu wedding and the response was insane, the pressure was on to deliver as good, or even better than I did the week before and knowing some of my family would be there, meant I wanted to do that bit ‘better’

I took the day in my stride and loved capturing the elegance of the day, beautiful moments, lots of smiles, hugs, capturing interactions between loved ones, this is what capturing a wedding day is all about.

The final event was the reception party and I did not know how WILD and energetic it would be! DJ Kabir (and Chris Williams, the saxophonist) did an incredible job keeping everyone on the dancefloor. I’ve not seen a dancefloor so full throughout the evening. Even after the first set of dancing had finished (for dinner), the dancing started up again within twenty minutes, and then the dancefloor was packed out, I barely had time to enjoy a glass of wine and then was back on the dancefloor! It’s definitely a party that I’ll remember and the interactions documented will be cherished for life!

Anisha and Bhav, it’s been a joy getting to know you both, and your loved ones. The wedding photographs are a true reflection of yours (and your families) personalities and I’ll always have fond memories of your wedding events. THANK YOU for letting me be a part of your wedding events and I Genuinely felt like one of the family.

    Much love to you both

  • Oatlands Park Hotel Asian Wedding

    Oatlands Park Hotel Asian Wedding

Ayesha and Dil had their Hindu wedding back in May and I had an absolute blast photographing their wedding celebrations.

A few weeks prior to the Hindu wedding, I captured Ayesha and Dil’s civil ceremony which was so much fun! It was full of emotions and I was super excited to see everyone again.

I met Ayesha in the morning of the wedding and her bridal room was buzzing with energy, I knew it was going to be a fun day. Following on from Dil’s crazy, fun procession, the Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted by Arjun Pandey and it was full of FUN! What I love most about photographing the wedding day, were the little moments and interactions between everyone and you can see how close both families are. Ayesha and Dil have a very fun personality and I knew they would be just themselves in front of the camera and you can clearly see their personalities in the photographs.

I had a feeling the reception party would be insane and it was, credit to Dj Kabir for an insane music set throughout the night, from the pictures, you’ll see how hard these guys party! I admit, I didn’t want to leave…it was that good!

Ayesha and Dil, it’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and being part of such an important part of your lives. We’ve spoken many times so it feels like you both are like friends to me.

Much love to you both and I look forward to keeping in touch, and enjoy the moments below!

Meera and Kiran had their wedding celebrations at the stunning Manor by the Lake in Cheltenham and what a day it was.

The Hindu wedding started off with a lively procession from Kiran’s side and when they met Meera’s family, the energy increased, you can see that both families get on well. The Hindu wedding itself was conducted by Pandit Raju Pandya and he beautifully explained the meaning behind each ritual of the wedding ceremony.

I would say that the wedding day was full of emotion. I particularly remember Meera’s speech before she walked into the mandap as what she said was really emotional, everyone (including me) had teary eyes. This really set the tone for the day and I loved being part of the celebrations.

As the wedding ceremony flowed, I could see Meera and Kiran’s fun, energetic personality showing and I loved picking up on the little moments between them and their close ones. Meera has some great facial expressions that you’ll shortly see!

After the Hindu wedding was over, it was time to party and both sides went all-out and partied hard till 4am. The dancefloor was packed throughout the night and the drinks were flowing. Everyone was out to have great time to celebrate Meera and Kiran’s wedding and what a celebration it was! A lively entrance, beautiful speeches, some food and drink, and then on the dancefloor, or at the bar!

Meera and Kiran, Thank you So much for choosing me to me part of your wedding day. I have so many fond memories and it’s been a joy being a small part of such a big day for you both. I wish you both all the best for the future and I look forward to keeping in touch

Enjoy the moments I’ve selected and much love.

And just like that, the 2023 Asian wedding photography season is all complete and it was an incredible season filled with capturing so many important memories that will last a lifetime.

My couples have All been amazing (as always), they gave me full access in to one of their most important days and it was an honour to have the opportunity to be part of their celebrations and capture all of the important moments that unfolded. Thank you all for being epic!

Photographing a wedding day give me a lot of personal satisfaction and I love to focus on the little moments and connections that occur inbetween the big moments. I feel this is what makes each wedding unique to the couple and their families as it’s personal to them and it’s the essence of the day!

When I’m capturing a wedding, I keep reminding myself to keep the camera up and be ready to capture the little moments after the big moment have happened. For me, this means showing the interactions such as hugs, hi-5’s kisses, tears, smiles, something that shows a connection and tells a story from that moment. This is what gets me excited to document as I know what it’ll mean for my couple.

This is something I’ve been working on a lot over the years and it is something I love to show on my Instagram page and in my selection of photographs below, which I’m really proud off. It’s also what I’ve really tried to focus on showing in my selection for 2023.

Selecting my favourite wedding photographs is always tough, there are way too many choices and I’m personally connected to all of the photographs. I started with over 20,000 delivered images and then I had the tough task of getting it down to around 150 which was tough (to say the least!) After getting it down to around 500 and having help from friends, I ended up at just over 160 and I’m really proud of my final selection which I’m really excited to share them with you!

But before I do, a few personal shout outs!

Massive thanks to my 2023 couples for letting me be part of your day, it’s been an incredible journey with you all and I loved being part of your wedding day. Each event I’ve documented for you has been very personal to me, so thank you for having me there on your wedding day. I look forward to keeping in touch with you all.

A huge thank you to my photography family especially Tejas, Sailesh, Meheer, Jai, Pratik for help, advise, laughs, chai and vadapau lunches too! You all have had my back since day one and I’m truly grateful for the friendship we have. There are so many more to mention, but you know who you are!

My 2024 couples, I’m looking forward to new friendships with you all and I’m looking forward to being part of celebrations next year, let’s do this!

My final thanks goes out to my family, especially Pinki for being with me on this crazy journey I couldn’t do it without you,  X

Ayesha and Dev heldtheir Hindu wedding ceremony and Reception party at the stunning Beaumont estate earlier this year and I had the pleasure of capturing every moment.

The wedding day was the first time I had met Ayesha and Dev, but I felt like I’ve known them for years. Having spoken to them many times, we gelled and I was super excited to meet them on the day!

The day began with a full-on procession from Dev’s family and friends. They came in style, colour and bought the energy and when they met Ayesha’s family, the energy was equally matched with lots of dancing…I knew at that point it was going to be a crazy one, and I was right.

The wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Kamal Pandey and he explained each ritual so that everyone can understand what it means which I feel is really important so that we can pass the knowledge to our next generation.

When I met Ayesha in the morning, she was full of energy and was smiling constantly. All eyes were on Ayesha as she walked down the aisle with her brother.

What I most loved about photographing Ayesha and Dev’s wedding, were the little moments and expressions and this is what really makes a wedding unique…yes there are the ‘big expected moments’ but it’s the little things in between that I love to capture as these are so personal to the couple. You’ll see a lot of this from the ‘few’ photographs that I’ve selected.

Once the wedding was over it was time to celebrate and both families partied hard. The cocktail reception was super lively and with the weather being good, everyone was outside and started dancing thanks to Jessica the Violinist! During the evening, there were some great speeches from friends and family and I was in stitches! As soon as the dancefloor opened, DJ Rugrat from Musical Movements took over and the dancefloor was packed throughout the whole night and there were some awesome dance moves captured!

Thank you Ayesh and Dev for choosing me to be part of your wedding day, it’s been an absolute pleasure being part of your celebrations and I know you’ll both cherish the wedding moments captured!

  • Oshwal Centre, Hindu wedding photographs

    Oshwal Centre, Hindu wedding photographs

    [vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]

Krupi and Prash’s Hindu wedding took place at the beautiful Oshwal Centre in Potters bar over the summer and I had a blast photographing the energy on the wedding day.
When I met Krupi on the morning of the wedding day, she was full of life and energy and I loved capturing her crazy personality throughout the day. Prash (as always), was chilled when I met him in the morning and was busy perfecting his beard and moustache, it was worth it as he definitely looked the regal part in her Sherwani!

The day started with a lively procession from Prash’s side and the energy was matched my Krupi’s side when both families came together with a solid dance off between both families. I could tell that everyone had become close and it was fun capturing both families coming together as one.

The Hindu wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Milan Mehta and it was a lively one which was a reflection of Krupi and Prash’s personalities.  A fun Hindu wedding tradition is where the bride’s side try and steal the groom’s shoes before he enters the mandap and it’s always a fun part to capture. Krupi’s side really went for it and you’ll see how crazy it got…I wonder if the shoes survived!

The wedding day was a mix of emotions throughout the day for both families. Even though a wedding day is a happy occasion, there were times where tears were caught and it was a privilege to capture these (happy and sad) moments. For me, the wedding day is much more than just photographing the ceremony, it’s about the little things that happened inbetween and I know the families will cherish the moments forever.

Krupi and Prash, it’s been a joy getting to know you both and seeing your personalities in the photos; I know they will bring you a lifetime of joy every time you re-live your wedding day.

I look forward to seeing you both soon.

  • Thank you 2022

    Thank you 2022

    [vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]

It feels like the 2022 wedding season went really, really fast! I still remember the first wedding back on the 1st of March and I was buzzing to be back behind the camera. The wedding was at one of my favourite venues (Northbrook Park) and after the shoot, I said to Tejas that the tone for 2022 was set and I knew it would be an epic season…which it was!

My wedding season was nicely paced and I had the joy of getting to know some amazing couples and being part of their special day. I’m not going to lie; my couples are the BEST so Thank You all for having me there to celebrate your day with you! I know we’ve started long life friendships and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

This year, I met many previous couples (and family members) from years gone by and it was great to see them all. It’s amazing to be part of so many family wedding and to be called ‘One of the family’ by so many…a true blessing.

Every wedding I shot was unique and personal to me and I found moments that really stood out. Shooting a wedding day is so much more than just the ceremony itself. It’s all the little moments in between the main parts of the day that really make each wedding different. It’s about the reaction to seeing each other on the day, your parents crazy dance moves or the hugs after the wedding, all the way down to the way you and your partner hold hands or the smile/tear from your parents watching you with pride. This is what documenting a wedding day is all about as it’ll be person to you! If anyone would love to chat more about this, please hit me up as I can go on and on about this!

In all honesty, when I go to ‘work’ it feels like I’m going to play and have fun and I feel blessed and privileged to be able to do this as shooting weddings is something I truly love doing. Niece and nephew say that I don’t work and that I just go and play with my cameras every weekend! there’s some truth in that, I think ?

I’m always excited on a wedding day and even with a million things going on in my head, I try and stay ‘in the zone’ and most importantly I have fun, I get to hang out with some amazing people and create lifetime memories. I work alongside and have fun with some great industry friends and we come together as a team for the couple…yeah that’s kinda cheesy to say, but it’s true. Masala tea, coffee and cake keep me going (along with my packed lunches!)

There are a handful of people that are always there for me on each shoot since I’ve started started so I want to give a special shoutout to Tejas, Meheer, Jai and Sailesh for having my back on each shoot or just having a chat, supporting each other, keeping me motivated when it gets really hectic. I’m truly blessed to call you my brothers and you all keep me sane. I look forward to many more shoots together in the coming years!

A special shoutout also goes to my wife Pinki (@mrsgstreats) for putting up with my craziness, my mad work schedule, being there, having my back, making sure I eat properly and keeping my side of the bed warm with a hot water bottle, you’re the best! x

So now (finally) onto the photographs – WOW is all I can say, I’m really excited with this selection and each year.
Picking my favourite wedding photographs started off fairly straight forward, I went through each shoot, picking out my fav moments, then combining them all together and then cutting down further which was really really painful. I went from approx. 30000 delivered wedding photographs down to 1800, and then painstakingly down to 156 and I’m really proud to share these moments with you all.

To my 2022 couples Thank you once again for the good times and for choosing me to be part of your day, it was an absolute pleasure. My upcoming 2023 couples, I cannot wait to meet you all and I look forward to documenting your wedding events. I only ask for two things, just be present and enjoy the celebrations.

Thanks everyone and see you soon.

    Sanj x

Niki and Sunit’s Hindu wedding at North Mymms Park

Imagine planning a Hindu wedding in the UK while you and your fiancé are living in New York…this is exactly what Niki and Sunit did and WOW, they managed to organise a superb Hindu wedding and Reception party which took place at North Mymms in Hertfordshire.

Niki is originally from NY and Sunit is from Manchester and he moved across the pond so they could be together. Niki and Sunit decided to hold the wedding in the UK, bringing together their most loved people from all over. Niki and Sunit wanted to give the US family a truly British experience so North Mymms was the perfect setting as it’s so grand and typically British. What made the day extra special was that the ceremony took place outdoors and the grounds are the perfect backdrop for a Hindu wedding celebration. The American’s even bought over some great weather too, so thanks for that!

I’ve known Sunit’s brother (Amit) for many years and I’m grateful that he recommended me to photograph his baby bro’s wedding. In the months leading up to the wedding, I got to know Niki and Sunit pretty well and I was excited to meet them in person and be part of their celebrations. I met Niki and Sunit in person a few months prior to the day on their pre wedding shoot, we got on really well and the photographs came out stunning. Having spent time with them in person really helped me get to know them as a couple and I could see why these two are the perfect match.

4th of July came about really quickly and I was excited as always for the wedding. When I saw Sunit in the morning, he was stressed beyond belief and while he was getting ready, I cheekily said ‘Dude, if you’re be miserable, you’re going to ruin my photos and Robert’s video!’ Straight away, Sunit relaxed and laughed and it was time for him to fully enjoy the day…which he did!

When I went to Niki’s bridal room in the morning, it was calm and was peacefully getting ready. Sunit sent her a personalised message and her expression said it all. I loved capturing the moment when Niki’s cousins and mum came to see in the morning, the expressions where priceless and real, these little stories are something I Love capturing on any wedding as it really makes the day unique and the emotion is something you cannot create.

Sunit’s entrance was epic, the dancing went on for a long time and I think the Brits outdanced the Americans (Yes I’m bias, haha). Soon after they got payback when they stole Sunit’s shoes…. Oh my gosh, it was a cross between a Rugby and an American football match and I got right in there and the shoe almost hit me too! I was worried that I might get tackled at one point, but luckily for me (and my camera) I didn’t! I’ve uploaded a sequence of the action and you’ll find the link below after the pics. Absolute carnage but well worth it.

In comparison to Sunit’s entrance, Niki’s was nice and calm and very elegant, just as you’d expect. The wedding celebrations were full of fun, colour and lots of emotions and I loved documenting every part of it, capturing all the expressions and unfolded before me, which you’ll see below. As an added personal touch, the priest is a friend of Niki and Sunit so it made it extra special for them.

After the Hindu wedding, it was time for the evening reception party and what a way to end the celebrations with some amazing speeches, dance performances from both Niki and Sunit’s families, and of course, a lot of dancing which ended the day of celebration.

Niki and Sunit, what a journey it’s been and it’s was a pleasure capturing your big day. I had an incredible time being part of your celebrations, so from me, a Huge Thank you for having me there. I hope the moments captured will bring back a lifetime of memories from an incredible day.

Much love to you both and happy viewing!

Sharmila and Nicolaj are an incredible couple, they are truly made for each other and they are as crazy as each other and I was truly honoured to be part of their celebrations.

I still remember our first call together and I knew straight away that their wedding was going to be a crazy wedding full of surprises. We spoke for a Long time and it was like I was chatting to friends. The first photo they sent of them was a full-on Zoolander style pout and I cracked up laughing! I knew they were nutters…like me!

The first time I met Sharmila and Nicolaj was on their preshoot and we gelled so well. We discovered a mutual love/obsession of Alphonso mangos (The best in the world…no question!) and I could see why they are the perfect match for each other. I wanted their pre wedding portraits to show their fun personalities and this is exactly what we got! I was full on excited for the big day.

Sharmila and Nicolaj wedding day took place at Ponsbourne Park Hotel near Potters Bar. The Hindu wedding took place outside and the setup looked stunning and I knew the day would be something special!

When I saw Sharmila in the bridal suite, I walked in and it was pure chaos…I loved it! So many little moments happening and I wanted to getting fully absorbed to tell the story of the day! Beyonce was coming through the speakers so amongst all the madness, we were bopping our heads. I loved seeing how the bridesmaids were getting ready at the same time as the bride and the small interactions between everyone was fun to capture.

Sharmila gifted Nicolaj with a killer pair of Air Jordan’s and I was there to capture his reaction to them, they looked awesome and ended up being his shoes for the reception (very cool!)

It was fun photographing Nicolaj and his family (while they were getting ready), everyone was speaking in Danish and even I attempted to say ‘Good morning’ in Danish (my pronunciation was terrible). I had no idea what was being said, but it made me fully focus on the moments that were unfolding and I loved it.

The first wedding ceremony was a traditional South Indian Hindu ceremony and it’s quite different to the Gujarati wedding ceremonies I usually document. The ceremony was full on vibrancy and multiple things happening but what I really loved capturing were the little moments between the family members and the couple, the small head touches, hugs, glances and the odd tear, all while documenting the ceremony being performed!

The civil marriage took place in the afternoon which was simple and elegant. Sharmila and Nicolaj wore match Air Jordan’s which was brilliant! 10 out of 10 for comfy wedding shoes, haha!

Following the civil, they had an awesome evening reception party full of surprise dance acts, emotional speeches, lots of kisses on the head table (and under!) feet stamping, glass tapping and a night of dancing which started off with Nicolaj’s socks being chopped off by his friends. It was great to see (and capture) so many fun wedding traditions from both cultures.

Sharmila, Nicolaj, I want to say a HUGE ‘Tak’ to you both for having me there to document your wedding celebrations, I had an incredible day and this is just a small selection of what I saw. They mean everything to me and I hope you love them as much as I do!

Happy viewing and see you soon x

I had only been to Ditton manor twice before and I was excited to be shooting there again.

When I saw Pri in the morning, she was getting ready and looked absolutely stunning; cool as anything and always smiling. Even though Pri said she’s nervous when it comes to portraits, it’s like she is a pro! Ravi, you photograph great too 😉

Ravi’s entrance one the longest I’ve shot and I was sweating after, lol! It was full of fun, colour and LOTS of dancing between both families and I loved seeing everyone coming together. Both families get on really well and I knew there were going to be some amazing moments between the families throughout the day!

The wedding ceremony was conducted beautifully by Kamal Pandey and what a stunning ceremony it was! I loved capturing all the little moments between Ravi, Pri and their families, lots of smiles and expressions, genuine emotion made the wedding unique and you’ll see this below.

The weather in the morning was cold, but as the fog dispersed, it warmed up and during the portrait session, we had the most incredible colours in the sky, that golden hour lighting is perfect for portraits and we took full advantage…even got away from the wedding planners to get a few more shots in the maze, it was totally worth it.

One key thing that I picked up on the day was that Pri’s parents really held back the tears during the Hindu wedding ceremony. I felt that at some point they would let go so I waited patiently for the moment to unfold.

The vidhai was (as expected) full of tears and there were so many precious moments documented at that time, but I knew it wasn’t over. There was a beautiful moment between Pri and her dad which I loved, but I knew more was to come and I was right…It was only when Pri was in the car, that I saw that special moment happen (between Pri and her mum) and I am so glad I followed my gut instinct. Although it was full of emotion and tears, it was an honour to have documented it and I know what it’ll mean to the family.

Pri and Ravi, thank you so much for trusting TJ and myself in documenting your wedding events, we’ve had an amazing time getting to know you and your families over the period. It’s crazy to think I only met you both that weekend, but I feel that I’d known you guys for a long time!

I hope these memories bring a lifetime of happiness and I look forward to seeing you both soon!

  • My favourite wedding photographs from 2021

My favourite wedding photographs from 2021

    [vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]So here we are, December 2021 and what a roller coaster of a year it has been!

It has been an absolute mental year for everyone working in the wedding industry. So many changes and so much uncertainty has meant that we have had to cram in eighteen months worth of wedding bookings into a 6 month period and it’s has been a challenging and an emotional time for all involved, but we got through it and looking back, what a ride it was. For me, great coffee, masala chai and red wine kept going!

I saw the Asian wedding photography community really came together over the last year. We helped each other out by stepping in when someone was ill, recommending each other when new dates clashed and just being there during the lows and of course celebrated the highs 🙂

Collaboration, not competition is a phrase that comes to mind; there is a lot of love and mutual appreciation amongst photographers and I am proud to be part of this exceptional photography community.

This year, multiple weddings took place almost every single day of the week between April to October and it was great to see what normal life looked like again. Whenever I opened up Instagram, another five weddings would show up on my feed, it was total madness, but it was great to see my industry back up and running. Gotta say, the wedding and photography related memes that kept showing up were brilliant!

My season kicked off in April and I was buzzing and at the same time nervous to get started. I thought to myself, Will I remember what to shoot? How do I pose the couple? Will I get Covid? How shattered will I be after the shoot and…I better book my next massage appointment in soon, LOL. Within 5 mins of my first shoot, I knew I was back in the zone and was ready for more!

Even though the wedding ceremony is a union of two individuals coming together, the day itself is more than that, it’s about the families and friends being part of the day to witness the marriage and being part of the celebration. It’s also the hugs, fist bumps, hi5’s the laughs, tears, it’s the human connection that makes up a wedding day and these are the moments that I loved seeing once again.

My first wedding this year had 15 guests then as the months passed, there were 30 guests and then into the 100s…I loved every single one! The smaller weddings were really intimate and I felt a real honour being part of the celebrations, especially as many friends and family weren’t able to attend, so I guess I was in a very privileged position. Some family members hadn’t seen each other for the past 18 months and it was great to see loved ones coming back together, and to document these special moments, was priceless!

Putting together this years’ ‘Best of 2021’ was REALLY tough…yes I say this every year, but this year it was extra hard as I had double the amount of weddings to showcase. Going through each photo was a lot of fun and it was a great reminder of the special moments that were documented.

I originally started with over 1900 photographs and I’ve managed to cut this down to just over 140 photographs which you’ll shortly see. It was a difficult task and I wanted to share so many more pics but it’s not possible to display all of them. If you do want to see all 1900 photos in 30 seconds, then click here later on. Overall, I am really proud of my final selection and I hope you enjoy looking at them too!

None of this would’ve been possible if it wasn’t for the support of my brother’s that shot with me as they kept me going. We pushed each other to provide the best for our couples so my biggest thanks goes to Tejas, Meheer, Sailesh, Jai and Guv, you guys were fully committed on every shoot which I’m truly grateful for. You guys Rock and I’m looking forward to shooting with you all again soon.

Special thanks goes out to my wife Pinki for supporting me throughout the year even though I wasn’t present that much as I was a little stressed, maybe a little grumpy in my editing cave, thanks for having my back as always x Oh, and how can I forget to mention the freshly prepped meals for shoot days and the cheese on toasts at night after my shoot, they were SO good! x

Ok, time to wrap this up… So here we are, a selection of my favourite wedding moments of 2021 for you to enjoy. To my couples from this year, THANK YOU so much for choosing me to capture your special day, it was an absolute joy and a pleasure, each wedding meant so much to me and I have many many fond memories from your events. I look forward to our continued friendship.

To my 2022 couples, I am looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones and I cannot wait to be part of your celebrations next year. Most importantly, we’re gonna have a lot of fun and on the day, all I want you to do is be present and enjoy the day as it unfolds.

Much love to you all and enjoy the moments below. Stay safe and see you next year.

Shazia and Kishan held their Hindu wedding and reception party at the stunning Frolye park back in June and what an incredible day it was. Coming from two different backgrounds, the Hindu wedding ceremony was their Third wedding ceremony within the week, and they ended the wedding week on a High!

I first spoke to Shazia and Kishan back in December 2021 (I think) and we met them in person earlier this year on their pre wedding shoot, but it felt like we’ve known each other a long time and I was excited to being part of their celebrations.

The week before the Hindu wedding, Shazia and Kishan had their civil wedding and it was great meeting their closest friends and family and capturing some beautiful moments. Shoutout to my niece Tiya for helping me on the day!

Back to the Hindu wedding, a stunning venue, gorgeous setup and lots of personalisation and your cloestest friends and family, the perfect setup for a wedding day. Kish arrived in style with closest friends and family and they were welcomed by Shazia’s side. After the dance off between both sides, it was time to start the Hindu wedding ceremony which was perfectly conducted by Ravi Shastri.

Shazia arrived in the mandap with a huge smile and I loved capturing the first look between her and Kishan, they were both gleaming! As the ceremony continued, there just smiles all around and you can clearly see that these two were made for each other.

There are so many key moments I like during a Hindu wedding, but I think the Kanyadhaan ceremony is one of my most favourite parts as it’s always full of emotion, it could be filled with tears or happiness (the latter within this wedding) and what I loved the most was seeing the connection/closeness between Shazia and her parents. For me, these personal moments are really important to capture throughout a wedding as the day is much more than just the ceremonies taking place and I know Shazia and Kishan (and their families) will appreciate this too.

The closeness between everyone on both sides is something I picked up on, even in the evening which you’ll see below.

Three wedding ceremonies later, it was time to celebrate and party hard. After a grand entrance, Kish got roasted by his best men and brother during the speeches…they also said nice things too! Shazia’s bridesmaids teased her too, but not as bad.

Just before the first dance, Kishan gave the final speech and it was full of emotion and one of the best I’ve heard, I felt it…it’s hard to describe what I felt, but I could tell it was fully from the heart and you could see (a feel) the emotion in the room

Following on from Kishan’s speech, it was time to dance the night away and what a party it was! The dancefloor was packed throughout and I loved capturing all of the crazy dance moves, even I was bopping away! Full credit to DJ Vish from Musical moments on an incredible music set.

Shazia, Kishan, you have both been amazing and I see you both more as friends than anything else. Thank you for letting me be part of your wedding journey and getting to know you both. It’s been an absolute honour capturing your wedding events, I look forward to sharing all of the photographs with you very soon, you guys are in for a treat!

See you soon and happy viewing
    Much love, Sanj.

  • Award winning asian wedding photographs

    Award winning asian wedding photographs

At the end of November 2016, I started going though all of the weddings I photographed and I did two things; 1, compile a list of my fav 2016 moments which was hard enough! And secondly, I started to select, what I felt were my strongest photographs and I entered them into the annual SWPP Print competition. It’s always such a hard task selecting the right picture as you want it to be the best of the best

The judging took place in mid Jan 2017 and I nervously sat behind the judges while they went though 100s of photographs, it’s always interesting to hear their comments and the constructive feedback is always welcomed. The judges look at the Moment, the lighting, expressions, composition, how the photograph has been edited, the print quality and even how the photographed has been presented!

From this years entries, I’m very proud to announce that I received 6 Merit awards which I blown away by as I know the judging was really tough this year so it’s a fantastic achievement.

A Huge Thank You to my couples for allowing me to capture their wedding events, its because of you all that I’ve gained the merits, you guys rock! A Big thanks to my team for helping me on the events we’ve covered, I love having you onboard with the shoot and you have all contributed to these award winning photographs in some shape or form. Well done to my fellow photographers who also entered and gained Merits and above!

I’m looking forward to the 2017 wedding season kicking off and pushing myself even more so and producing even more award winning photographs.

Below are the award winning photographs.

  • Award Winning Photographs

    Award Winning Photographs

So I’ve been photographing professionally for about 7 years and since I’ve begun, I’ve never entered any competitions to see how my photographs would score against a wealth of other photographers! I kept putting it off and I decided last year that I Have to enter! If anything, it’s for my personal growth, and I’m so glad I did!

Back in Jan, there was a massive photographers convention hosted by SWPP and there was an opportunity to enter a selection of my photographs and have them judged. I wasn’t sure how they would score and I remember sitting in the judging panel with my heath thumping as they critiqued and scored the images and I’m SO pleased to say that I received a total of 9 awards with amazing scores between 80 to 90 out of 100! As you can imagine, I’m still in shock but really happy at the same time, I’m looking forward to the 2016 wedding season and pushing myself even further for my couples this year!

A Huge Thank you to my team who support me on each shoot, it means so much to me having you there. Another Massive Thank you to my friends and family for always being there for me and supporting me in this industry. The biggest Thanks definitely goes to all of my couples who have chosen me to photograph their special moments and without you guys I would not have caught these amazing Award Winning Photographs.

  • The 2015 Wedding moments

    The 2015 Wedding moments

It only seemed like yesterday that it was January 2015 and I was gearing up for the upcoming wedding season, but here we are in December and I’m sitting here thinking…Wow, this year has gone fast and how great the wedding season was!

I’ve really enjoyed every wedding function I’ve phootgraphed this year, I’ve been amongst some amazing couples and families whom I’ve really become close with..by the day of the shoot, I’ve always left more like a friend (or a family member) than just their wedding photographer and this is what makes my ‘job’ much more fun an enjoyable.

Over the last few days, I’ve been going through each wedding I’ve photographed this year and I’ve been able to re-live the details, the joy, the laughter, tears and happiness. It’s made me smile and it reminds me why I Absolutely Love doing what I do and I’m so thankful for all of my couples who gave me the opportunity to photograph one of their most important days, you all ROCK!

I’d like to say a massive Thank you to my soul mate/wifey/better half, Pinki (aka Mrs.G) for being by my side and supporting me in this crazy world ever since I went full time into photography, you’ve always been there for me and I could not be where I am without you X. To all those that have helped me this year in some way or another (You know who you are) Thank you Thank you SO much for your help guys and girls.

So finally one last time this year and in no particular order, here are a ‘few’ of the moments I’ve had the privilege to capture. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year and I cannot wait for the 2016 season to kick in, see you then!

  • Rupal and Neil’s Hindu wedding celebrations at Offley Place

Rupal and Neil’s Hindu wedding celebrations at Offley Place

    [vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]

Rupal and Neil’s Hindu wedding and reception party took place at Offley Place in Hitchin and I remember seeing the Mandap setup and I thought WOW! Shagun weddings had done an incredible job with the décor with a lot of pastel flower arrangements which made the venue bright and airy! Rupal and Neil had gone all out!

Neil arrived in true style by helicopter and he looked the part like in his Hindu wedding attire. All guests waited outside for his arrival and was great with a big cheer and after his procession, the religious Hindu wedding began and was beautifully conducted by Jiten bhai who carefully explained the meaning behind each of the rituals.

While Neil was already in the mandap, Rupal was finishing off getting ready. I remember going to see her and she was calm as anything, ready to walk down the aisle and become Mrs Patel. Rupal was escorted by her uncles and cousins, still calm as can be and all eyes were on her stunning enterance.

Rupal and Neil’s first look took place in the mandap, and their smiles say it all. The wedding ceremony was full of emotional moments and a lot of mischievous behaviour by the groom!
As Rupal and Neil walked around the fire, they were showered with flowers from their loved ones, lots of cheers and smiles throughout! I always tell my couples to go crazy with the petals and it makes the wedding photographs stand out that little bit more.

A fun traditional in Gujarati Hindu wedding’s is the bride’s mum (and other married ladies) try to grab the groom’s nose at various points of the wedding, Neil was switched-on to this and before they got a chance, he managed to put on a fake nose, which was the first time I’d seen this – the reactions were brilliant!

Rupal and Neil are huge 007 fans and they decided on a James bond themes reception party and the setup was equally beautiful. An incredible entrance with some hilarious speeches was followed by the first dance. Rupal’s cousin sang throughout the first dance (a James bond song, of course) and then soon after, everyone hit the dancefloor and it was rammed throughout. It was the perfect way to end the wedding celebrations and I had the absolute please documenting these little moments!

These are just a ‘few’ of my favourite moments from the Hindu wedding and reception party and I’m excited for you to see them.

Rupal and Neil, it was an absolute pleasure photographing your wedding day, I had an incredible time being part of the celebrations, so Thank you both for choosing me to photograph your day.
