Priyanka and Ravi’s Hindu Wedding at Ditton Manor

Priyanka and Ravi’s Hindu wedding took place after the summer wedding season and I was well rested and raring to go again! I had only been to Ditton manor twice before and I was excited to be shooting there again.

When I saw Pri in the morning, she was getting ready and looked absolutely stunning; cool as anything and always smiling. Even though Pri said she’s nervous when it comes to portraits, it’s like she is a pro! Ravi, you photograph great too 😉

Ravi’s entrance one the longest I’ve shot and I was sweating after, lol! It was full of fun, colour and LOTS of dancing between both families and I loved seeing everyone coming together. Both families get on really well and I knew there were going to be some amazing moments between the families throughout the day!

The wedding ceremony was conducted beautifully by Kamal Pandey and what a stunning ceremony it was! I loved capturing all the little moments between Ravi, Pri and their families, lots of smiles and expressions, genuine emotion made the wedding unique and you’ll see this below.

The weather in the morning was cold, but as the fog dispersed, it warmed up and during the portrait session, we had the most incredible colours in the sky, that golden hour lighting is perfect for portraits and we took full advantage…even got away from the wedding planners to get a few more shots in the maze, it was totally worth it.

One key thing that I picked up on the day was that Pri’s parents really held back the tears during the Hindu wedding ceremony. I felt that at some point they would let go so I waited patiently for the moment to unfold.

The vidhai was (as expected) full of tears and there were so many precious moments documented at that time, but I knew it wasn’t over. There was a beautiful moment between Pri and her dad which I loved, but I knew more was to come and I was right…It was only when Pri was in the car, that I saw that special moment happen (between Pri and her mum) and I am so glad I followed my gut instinct. Although it was full of emotion and tears, it was an honour to have documented it and I know what it’ll mean to the family.

Pri and Ravi, thank you so much for trusting TJ and myself in documenting your wedding events, we’ve had an amazing time getting to know you and your families over the period. It’s crazy to think I only met you both that weekend, but I feel that I’d known you guys for a long time!

I hope these memories bring a lifetime of happiness and I look forward to seeing you both soon!
