One afternoon in May, Roopa rang me saying that Amit (her fiance) had a crazy idea for their prewedding photoshoot…I like crazy.
As the conversation continued, I was visualising a photoshoot abroad and a few moments later, my visualisation was about to come true as Roopa had said that they want to do their photoshoot in Paris! As you can imagine, I was (very) excited! A few hours later, the Eurostar tickets were booked and when asked what sort of hotel would do, I cheekily said ‘Only 5 Star will do darling!’ but to be honest, I was grateful to shooting abroad, so anything would’ve been fine , luckily Amit likes a bit of luxury and he had booked Sofitel Hotel in Paris for us…nice.
So the big day arrived, accompanied with my wife Pinki, we met Roopa and Amit very early at 6.45am at London St Pancras, jumped on the Eurostar, had a cup of tea followed by a much required powernap for the weekend we were about to have! The shoot itself was amazing and I really got to know Roopa and Amit really well, I found them to be a very fun couple to photograph, Roopa loves to tease Amit and I wanted to show this…along with some posey type shots which they had no problems with doing…models or what hey?!?! We wondered around several spots in Paris taking in the heat and atmosphere of this beautiful city and at the same time photographed some awesome pictures of Roopa and Amit, even while trying to dodge security at The Louvre!. I loved photographing in Paris and can’t wait to go back.
After an exhausting but exciting shoot, I knew that a new friendship had blossomed and come the wedding day, I felt that I was photographing friends 🙂 Roopa and Amit, thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph you both in Paris, and also a big thank you to Pinki for being the perfect/amazing assistant during the weekend away, it was well worth all the effort x
So finally for your viewing pleasure, a few moments that were captured.
