Jasmine and Nik’s Hindu wedding ceremony at The Manor, Weston On The Green Country House

I’ve met some crazy fun couples during my time as a wedding photographer, but I have to say, Nikhil and Jasmine are probably in the top 3 of my craziest couples!

I remember Jas and Nik’s preshoot in London on a GoBoat which was total madness! The shoot was more like 4 friends hanging out than a pre wedding shoot, we all cracked jokes as we sailed from Paddington to Camden, it was very fun, chilled out shoot taking in the London scenery watching Jas and Nik getting merry!

Fast forward to July this year in the middle of the amazing hot summer we had in the UK, Jas and Nik’s Hindu Wedding took place at The Manor – Weston On The Green, it’s a stunning venue in the middle of Oxford surrounded by amazing scenery, so it’s the perfect setting for an outdoor Hindu wedding.

I knew the Hindu Wedding ceremony was going to be a lot of fun to capture, but it’s all the little moments from the day that really stood out for me and this really made Jas and Nik’s wedding unique  –  from the champers in the morning and in the afternoon (lol), Nik’s awesome, the HUGE smiles on everyone’s faces, the moments between Nik and his gran, Jas’ laughter and expressions, the crazy connection between Jas and Nik…the list goes on and you’ll get to see all this shortly.

I won’t type much more as the pics really best describe Jas and Nik’s wedding day better thank I can type up!

Jas and Nik, what can I say…You guys are totally nuts and absolutely made for each other, I had a complete blast being part of celebrations and I wish you many many many years of fun together :)

    Enjoy the moments everyone!

Nisha and Amish’s wedding at Manor of Groves

Nisha and Amish’s wedding was one of my favourite weddings to shoot over the summer. It took place at the Manor of Groves and I had an awesome time capturing the day as it unfolded.

I’ve had some great banter with Nisha and Amish during the build up to their wedding day, I got to know them really well and I knew the day was going to be special. These guys just smile all day and know how to have fun and it really shows in the photographs.

The Hindu Wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Parth Joshi and everyone is in great spirits, it was a joy to capture the ceremony which was full of fun, laughter, banter and what made the ceremony feel different were the blue skies shining down on us, it felt more like an outdoor wedding! One of my favourite moments was when the bride’s brothers went to steal Amish’s shoes, wait until you see the pics below, the facial reactions are hilarious!

Before and during the reception, there was an incredible sunset so it was a ‘must’ to get Nisha and Amish outside for a few portraits before partying and having a few drinks 😉 The evening reception was tops! Beautiful décor, some cracking speeches, a dance performance by Nisha’s cousins, lots of tasty food, alcohol flowing and killer tracks by DJ Rugrat and Musical Movements, what more can you ask for from a reception?

I’d rather not waffle on too much as I want you to get on with seeing the moments captured, so for your viewing pleasure I present to you Nisha and Amish’s wedding.

Anika and Nikhil’s Wedding at The Grove

One of my fav summer weddings was Anika’s wedding to Nikhil which took place back in June.

When I met Anika and Nik we jelled straight away and I was super excited to capture their wedding. We were constantly in touch with lots of banter on our WhatsApp group and I really got to know them personally during the Pre wedding shoot, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding for sure form what they said they were planning to do.

Apart from knowing a lot of the friends and family at the wedding, what made it extra special and personal for me were the small things at the pre wedding events. During Nik’s Mandho, Nik’s mum insisted that I have a tiko to signify one of the brother’s during the ceremony and then the day after, Anika insisted that I apply haldhi on her during the Haldi ceremony, this was a first for me and I felt more like a close friend than just their wedding photographer. At the end of the wedding reception, Anika insisted I do a Jagger shot…naturally, I obliged 😉

The wedding ceremony took place at The Grove in Herefordshire and was beautifully conducted by Kamal Pandey accompanied by Shiv Gopal Music. The mandap and decor set up by Jai and I Events looks incredible and the lighting and evening reception was taken care of by Kudos Music. Anika’s family are from North India while Nik’s family are from Gujarat so Kamal bhai fused the ceremony to accommodate the slight differences, everyone enjoyed the ceremony and you can see how close both families are.

The little moments inbetween made this wedding different for me, like when Anika was having tea while getting ready (Which I almost split on her!), Nikhil’s awesome arrival party which started from home, The dodgy money during the bargaining of the shoes! Seeing Nik’s nephew with the same outfit as him, the flash mob during the first dance…way too many to mention but it was awesome being part of Anika and Nik’s wedding events and I genuinely feel blessed to have captured their wedding day.

Anika and Nik, you both are an amazing couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world, I know you’ll cherish all of the moments captured! Looking forward to seeing you both soon!

Varsha and Kunal’s Wedding at The Dorchester Hotel, London

Varsha and Kunal recently got married at The Dorchester hotel in central London and what an awesome day it was!

The day started off with Kunal and his family proceeding with dhol players down Park Lane, I’m sure the tourists must’ve been snapping away as everyone made their way to the venue. Soon after breakfast, the Hindu wedding ceremony took place and this was beautifully conducted by Pandit Kamal Pandey. Varsha and Kunal are some-what shy but I loved capturing the little moments and smiles between them and you can clearly see they are made for each other! Varsha and Kunal said they are a bit awkward in front of the camera, but based on the moment captured, I think they are awesome infront of the camera. I loved capturing the day as it unfolded with everyone coming together and having a lot of fun.

The wedding reception party followed in the evening and this was one of fav ones to date with quite a few memorable highlights. Kunal’s 5-year-old niece did a speech and it was the best speech I’ve ever heard. Kunal’s niece memorised a 4-page speech and barely looked down at what was written and the delivery was spot on, ripping into Kunal and Varsha throughout, everyone was in hysterics and at the end there was well deserved standing ovation! The best man after had a tough act to follow, he did pretty good 😉
Varsha and Kunal hired a glitter artist (Dave Sharps Arts) and on a black canvas he started painting something with glue, but no one could see what he was painting. After Dave was done painting, he threw a load of glitter onto it and it revealed a portrait of Varsha and Kunal, pretty awesome hey?!

Once the flaming desserts had been served, it was time to burn off the calories and the dancing kicked off with Varsha and Kunal’s first dance followed by an epic party hosted by Jas from Kudos Music. I won’t say much about it, just enjoy the pics below and you’ll see how incredible it was.

The wedding moments captured are a true reflection of an amazing day and I wish Varsha and Kunal all the very best for the future as Mr and Mrs Patel, I’m sure the photographs will bring back a lifetime of memories that they will cherish forever.

Dipti and Neel’s Hindu Wedding at Woburn Abbey Sculpture Gallery

Dipti and Neel are an amazing couple, totally made for each other and I had an amazing time capturing their wedding events over the Easter period.

The Hindu wedding ceremony took place at Woburn Abbey Sculpture Gallery near Milton Keynes, it was the first time I photographed there so I was excited to shoot in a new venue.

On the morning of the wedding, I went to see Dipti and could see the nerves were kicking in while she was getting ready, fortunately, from the moment Dipti entered the wedding hall, she had a huge smile on her face and it stayed throughout the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Parth Joshi and some amazing moments were captured throughout the ceremony, one or two tears, but mainly genuine smiles and laughter which really made this wedding fun to photograph. I knew a lot of the friends at the wedding so I almost felt like a guest, everyone was really welcoming and it always makes a difference.

Throughout the day, I could tell that both families are really close as the banter between them was awesome, epically during the negotiation of the shoes!

A massive congrats to Dipti and Neel on an incredible wedding and I hope when you look back at your wedding album that they bring back a lifetime of memories, these are just some of my favourite moments from your wedding day which I know you will both love!

Darshna and Karan’s Hindu Wedding at Manor of Groves

Back in August, I had the pleasure of photographing Darshna and Karan’s Civil ceremony, Hindu wedding and Reception party at the Manor of Groves and this was one of my favourite weddings this year.

Darshna and Karan are always happy and always smiling and that’s the way they are. They are totally into each other and I loved showing this in the moments captured. I loved photographing their big day as it evolved, from the moment I saw Darshna and Karan in the morning, they were calm, collected and of course, smiling! This was their mood all throughout the day right till the final dance.

Karan, by far had the Best groom’s entrance that I’ve ever seen, he and his family danced all the way down the wedding isle which was a first! It was totally Karan, anyone could see that. The Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted by Hemang Bhatt and it was a pleasure capturing the wedding ceremony and the moments inbetween.

Before the reception party began, I went to see Darsh and Karan to take some portraits in their evening outfits but the typical British weather meant that it was raining so we postponed the shoot until later on in the evening. I had something special in mind with gazebo that was lit up, I even told Karan and he’ll need to delay the first dance to get this shot I had in mind. Darshna and Karan had full faith in me and off we went, they braved the cold weather (Still smiling) and it was So worth the effort in the end, we walked away with some amazing portraits. Karan even said to that delaying the party was hard to digest, but after seeing the photographs, it was totally worth it!

Darshna, Karan, it’s been awesome getting to know you both and capturing your special day. I hope the photographs bring back every memory of your wedding day. All the best guys.

    Meera and Mits’ Hindu Wedding

Meera and Mitesh (Mits) are an amazing couple whom I have had the pleasure of getting to know really well over the last year.

A few months back I spent some time with them during their pre wedding shoot and for me, a pre wedding shoot is a great way for me to gel with my couples and get them comfortable infront of the camera, thanks for braving out the mud, insect bites and the hayfever.

Fast forward to July and it was time for Meera and Mits’ Hindu wedding which took place at the beautiful Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford (Hare Krishna Temple).

I love photographing at the Manor, its my local temple and there’s always a calming feeling when I go there. Meera was getting ready the bridal suite and when I got there, I was a bit over whelmed with the chaos while Meera and her mum were getting ready (haha, sorry Meera) but it made me approach the situation slightly differently and I managed to squeeze into arkward positions and get some cool shots as you’ll see later on. Meera looks absolutely stunning on the day, she had a very regal look to her and Mits scrubbed up well too 😛

I love capturing fun and laughter at weddings and Meera and Mits’ family are full of this. Everyone was in great spirits throughout the day and some amazing moments and emotions were captured. I had blast capturing the wedding ceremony and everyone involved and it was great seeing everyone the week after at the civil and reception party. Some of my favourite moments are the moments inbetween the ceremony.

Sundar Madhava Das from the temple was the priest for the day and he beautifully conducted the wedding ceremony for Meera and Mits, it was the perfect start to becoming Mr and Mrs Vora.

Here are a selection of moment’s that I love and wanted to share. Meera and Mits, I wish you guys all the very best and I hope the memories captured last you a lifetime. A Big Thank You to both Badal and Vora families for making me feel so welcome throughout the wedding events.

Nirali and Manish’s Hindu Wedding at Quendon Hall

Here’s a selection of images from Nirali and Manish’s Hindu wedding that took place back in June.

I had a lot of fun capturing Nirali and Manish’s events, having recently photographed Nirali’s sister’s wedding back in December, it was great seeing everyone again, it almost felt like I was at a family wedding.

The Hindu wedding ceremony took place at Quendon Hall and as soon as I was driving up, I spotted massive open fields with yellow flowers and I said to my colleague Tejas, ‘We need to get them in there for portraits!’ When I spoke to the video guys about this, they had the same idea!

The Hindu wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Vasudev Mehta and I had an amazing time capturing Nirali and Manish’s big day. Wveryone was smiling and laughing throughout the day and the happiness of two families coming together is easily seen. After the wedding, we all jumped into my car for portraits and made it into the field, it was worth it!

Nirali and Manish, it’s been a blast getting to know you both and capturing your big day, you both make an amazing couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world as Mr & Mrs Patel.

    Enjoy the moments below!

Neha and Rishi’s wedding at Oshwal Centre

Here’s a wedding of two neighbours… yes, Rishi (pretty much) married the girl next door and I had the honour of capturing their special day.  Neha and Rishi’s Hindu wedding took place at the beautiful Oshwal centre in Potters bar amd Rishi arrived with his closet friends and family and were greeted by Neha’s family.
When the families met, all of the women from both sides were singing old Gujarati songs against each other which pretty much are insults to the other side, no idea why it happens, but its all in good spirit!

After the initial meet and greet, the Hindu wedding ceremony began and was conducted by Pandit Vasudev Mehta and I had a blast capturing Neha and Rishi’s special moments.

Both families are very close and it was fun to capture everyone having a great time together. Below are a small selection of my favourite moments captured on the day.

Neha and Rishi, I wish you guys all the very best for the future and may the photographs bring back all of the memories from your fantastic wedding

Nehal and Mehul’s Hindu wedding at Hilton Syon Park

Nehal and Mehul are an absolutely fantastic couple whom I’ve really enjoyed getting to know…From the minute I met them, I loved their personalities, the bond between them and I was thrilled when they chose me as their wedding photographer.

During the pre wedding shoot, I got to hang out with Nehal and Mehul and capture their fun loving nature, I made Nehal walk over rocks in her high heels just to get the perfect shot…and yes, it was worth it! I also learned that Mehul had a few quirks….esp when it comes to his defined hair, use of lip balm and moisturiser…yes I teased him about it a lot on our whatsapp conversations and in person 😉

I’m going to let my photographs do the talking, but I have to say, I had an amazing time photographing Nehal and Mehul’s wedding events, their families made me feel like one of their own, beautiful moments were captured throughout the events and one of the most touching moments for me was when Mehul said some kind words about me in his speech at the reception party. I thank you for your kind words Mehul (and Nehal for your solo ‘whoop’) it’s been an honour being part of your wedding events and i know how much the photographs mean to you both…I’m now excited to show everyone some of the moments captured.

Disha & Vivan’s Hindu wedding at Hedsor House, Windsor

A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of photographing Disha and Vivan’s stunning Hindu Wedding which took place at Hedsor House in Windsor and what a lot of fun it was!
Despite the rain, everyone was in the great spirits! In true Punjabi style Viv arrived with his friends and family dancing with a lot of energy and excitement. Both sides of the family partied hard before the ceremonies began.

A fond memory of mine was the milni ceremony which is when the heads of both families garland each other and then they attempt to lift each other up, you’ll see below who won…the facial expressions are priceless!

The wedding ceremony was a small intimate one which was beautifully conducted by Kamal Pandey which was thoroughly enjoyed by all guest. Both Disha and Viv looked absolutely stunning on the day and I loved photographing them both, their smiles, closeness and fun personalities! Some amazing moments were captured which I know will be treasured for a lifetime.

I’ve had a fantastic time getting to know Disha, Viv and their families, it was a pleasure capturing their special day and getting to know everyone, thank you for making me feel very welcome :) Here are a few of the moments from the Hindu wedding which I hope you enjoy viewing.

Anjalee and Suraj’s Hindu Wedding at Oshwal Centre

Anjalee and Suraj’s Hindu wedding took place at the beautiful Oshwal Centre in Potters bar and it was one of my favourite weddings from 2014. (Yes I say this about every wedding I photograph!)

Despite the rain, I had a lot of fun photographing Anjalee and Suraj’s special day, and the rain actually came to use which you’ll see below. What I especially loved about this wedding, was capturing the closeness of Anjalee and Suraj; the small little looks to each other, the massive smiles, the excitement in their eyes and the deep love for one another. I first saw this during the pre wedding shoot and it was great to see it again on the wedding day. The day began with the arrival of Suraj and his family and everyone was in great spirits! The day was full of fun and banter and I knew there would be some amazing moments to capture. The wedding ceremony was beautifully conducted by Raju Bhai Pandya accompanied by Shiv Gopal Music and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony. Soon after the wedding ceremony was over, it was time to get some amazing portraits on the grounds of Oshwal Centre, the temple grounds are amazing and walking through them, you’d think you’re in India, I would highly recommend checking it out!

Personally, I’ll do what ever I can to get an amazing portrait and you’ll see a reflection of Anjalee and Suraj in a puddle which came out great, the only problem was that half of my back was soaked as the water crept though my water proof jacket while taking the shot and by the weekend, I was ill! But it was worth it :)

As with all Hindu weddings, there was an emotional goodbye and a few tears which I still find hard to capture especially when you’ve got to know the families quite well. The Hindu wedding was now over and a week later, the Civil and Reception party took place. In a few weeks time, I’ll show the pics from that day and I cannot wait to show you them!

A massive thank you to both Adatia and Jethwa families who were extremely welcoming and it was fun getting to know you all, I’m sure I’ll see you all again soon.

Anjalee and Suraj, Thank you SO much for allowing me to capture your special moments, it’s been a pleasure getting to know you and your families and I hope that the moments captured bring back all of the emotions and memories from both days. Enjoy the moments!

Puja and Sahil’s Hindu wedding and Reception party

Puja and Sahil’s wedding took place earlier this year in her parent’s back garden which is in a small quiet town called Offham. I think around 600 guests attended so you could say, that this wedding was truly an Asian Invasion!

Sahil’s family and friends turned up with dhol players in the morning and the whole town knew they had arrived. Everyone danced down the streets and as soon as they arrived at Puja’s parents house, both families started to party away in the road, I’m sure there were a few drivers getting annoyed at this point (hahaha but that didn’t stop anyone enjoying themselves.

The marquee and décor looked stunning, it was the perfect setting for a beautiful Hindu Wedding ceremony, my mouth dropped when I entered. The Hindu wedding ceremony was conducted by Kamal Pandey who kept all 600 guest engaged  though out. When Puja told me there’s a massive corn field behind her home, I knew we were going to have a field day during the portraits (excuse the pun!)

I have to say, this is probably one of the most emotional weddings I’ve captured, not just smiles, laughter and fun, but a lot of tears too, it was clear to see how close everyone is and it was a joy to show this in moments captured.

During the evening reception, Puja and Sahil hired Magic Singh who was amazing! The music was total different to the other Indian weddings I’ve photographed as they have a kick-ass band who rocked the night away with some classics, Definitely something unique #Rockon!

Puja and Sahil’s wedding was definitely a fav wedding from this year, I enjoyed photographing both families during the ceremonies  and some great moments have been captured! I especially enjoyed photographing Puja’s Dada who was always smiling and it was hard not to take a great photograph of him :)

So for your viewing pleasure, introducing, Puja and Sahil’s wedding.  I wish you all the very best for the future guys, you both rock!

Rohini and Mayank’s Hindu Wedding at Ealing Town Hall, London

Rohini and Mayank recently had their Civil and Hindu Wedding at Ealing Town Hall and I was honoured to have photographs this amazing couple.

On the day of the wedding, it was raining quite a lot and I was more worried about the portraits later on in the day than anything else! The day began with a Civil ceremony which was beautifully conducted by Rohini’s sister,  and then soon after the Hindu wedding ceremony began with lots of dancing and singing by the ladies on Mayank’s side! I do find the words to the songs quite funny as they pretty much tease/insult the bride’s family, good thing that Rohini’s family gave as good as they received!

I had a great time photographing Rohini and Mayanks wedding ceremonies, it was full of fun, laughter and smiles throughout the while day, despite the weather not being that great. After the wedding ceremony was over and the emotional goodbye, we headed off for some final portraits and I was privileged to photograph Rohini and Mayank outside the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden at which point we has blue skies! It was a perfect end to a beautiful wedding.

Rohini and Mayank, I wish you both all the very best for the future and I do hope that the moments I have captured will last a lifetime and beyond.

So for your viewing pleasure, here are a few of the moments captured, happy viewing everyone!

The Hindu Wedding of Sonia & Prakash at Shendish Manor

I’ve loved every wedding that I’ve photographed this year and with the great we’ve had, I was itching to photograph my 1st outdoor wedding and in July I got that opportunity.

Sonia and Prakash’s wedding was like a family wedding to me as I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a lot of their family and friend’s weddings (from Chinmaya Mission) in the past so I knew quite a lot of people there, also I’m sure Prakash and I have a family connection from a few generations ago.

In addition to the Hindu Wedding, I photographed their Civil wedding, Engagement and Sangeet night which were all great fun. Like most Indian weddings, Prakash insisted that I ruin my diet while doing the Insanity workout and tuck into some Gulab Jaman…which I then burned off the next morning as expected! During the sangeet night, I even managed to do some Garba which isn’t the easiest thing to do when you have 2 camera’s attached to your hips

So the big day arrived! The stunning Shendish Manor in Herefordshire was the venue and behind the Manor in the grounds is where the wedding was going to take place. Gayatri Mandaps had done an amazing job in setting up the mandap and seating area, the sun was beaming down and it was going to get hot! Thankfully there was a massive tree with lots of shade so as expected, a lot of guests moved over as the mid-day sun came over us, sadly I could not move over to the shaded so I ended getting a bit of a tan!

The wedding was great fun, everyone was in high spirits, Prakash’s gran even mimicked Prakash’s famous dance move (There’s only one which is easy to follow!) Sonia looked stunning and I love how everyone in Sonia’s family get involved, especially the Naran sister helping her get ready, this definitely shows the closeness of all 8 sister, and who can forget the help from the 5 brothers and 3 brother in laws, have I got that right? 😉

So now, presenting my 1st outdoor Hindu Wedding conducted by Mahdvaji. Sonia and Prakash, I wish you both all the very best for the future, may the moments captured fill you both with emotion every time you look at your album.

A beautiful Hindu Wedding at Parklands Quendon Hall

When Heena and Naresh told me that they wanted me to photograph their wedding, I was thrilled! From the moment I met them, I knew their wedding was going to be full of emotion and what an amazing day it was!

Heena and Naresh put a lot of effort in planning the day, the décor looked great, the metal print (that I made for them) looked amazing 😉 and I loved how they used photograph from their Pre Wedding shoot on M&Ms! Now that was a first for me to see. When I saw Heena and Naresh they day before, Naresh had lost his voice and Heena had back spasms, oh dear not a great start, but to be honest, this didn’t stop this great couple from enjoying themselves and they laughed and smiled throughout all functions…why let something get in the way of a special day hey? From Naresh’s reaction to seeing Heena for the ‘1st time’ he was gobsmacked and the proof is in the pictures.
Heena and Naresh, thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day, and just for you guys, a few of the moments captured.

Krishna & Dhiren’s Civil and Hindu wedding at The Langley in Watford

Krishna and Dhiren, what a crazy in love cool couple they are!

I had an awesome time back in May photographing their Civil and Hindu Wedding at The Langley in Watford. It was an early start but def one of the funnest weddings I’ve had the privilege to photograph, I would say that capturing Krishna’s face in the mirror as the Antarphat went down has to be one of my top 5 Photojournalistic moments captured…this defintely caught Dhiren’s cheeky side which I loved capturing! and to be honest, I expected nothing less from him! It was even the 1st time I’ve seen a priest dancing during the the groom’s arrival, pretty cool hey ?!?

Dhiren and Krishna, may the moments captured bring back all of the emotions from your wedding day every time you look at your photographs. I wish you both all the happiness in the world as Mr & Mrs Chauhan, much love to you both.

Krista & Nik’s Hindu Wedding at Fennes Estate

Krista and Nik, a very lively and FUN couple who had a wedding as lively and fun as them!

I’ve been wanting to blog Krista and Nik’s wedding for a long time as it was one of my favourite ones from this summer, so finally, here it is….The wedding took place at the stunning Fennes Estate in Essex and it was the perfect backdrop for the big day, the temperature was in the 30’s, (my kind of heat) everyone was in great spirits and ready for a fun filled day! I went upstairs to meet Krista and she told me how she’d been bitten by a mosquito…on the nose! I think some brides’ would be panicking and stressing, but Krista was happy and energetic as usual, she was fine and by the time she was ready you couldn’t even tell she’d been bitten…a sign of a great Make Up Artist hey Arpita 😉

Hemang Bhai conducted the wedding ceremony beautifully as usual and it’s the only time I’ve heard a maraj say ‘Chillax’ during a ceremony! The ceremony was pleasant and there were smiles all around throughout the Hindu wedding apart form when Nik lost the games! Once the sun started to set it was time to party and I have to say, the boys partied harder than the ladies….the party rockers were truly in the house!

Below are a few of the moments from Krista and Nik’s awesome wedding, happy viewing everyone!

Shilpa & Priyesh’s Hindu Wedding at Manor of Groves

I have to say, I had a blast photographing Shilpa and Priyesh’s Hindu wedding events, from the moment we met we hit it off, I got on so well with them, that they decided to buy their 1st home right around the corner from me so we could all go for yummy pasta in Casa Mia and dessert at Twist every week (Just kidding)! Shilpa and Priyesh are a very fun couple and I knew the wedding events were going to be a good reflection of their good, fun hearted nature…bring it on!

For their Hindu wedding day I went out a bought a pair of Hawaiian socks to wear, I have to admit I almost didn’t wear them, but I promised Shilpa that I would wear them, plus it was in the contract! On the morning of the wedding day Shilpa looked down at my feet to check I was wearing them and smiled…gotta keep the bride happy right? Oh, and they were a bit hit on the wedding day!

The Hindu wedding took place at The Manor of Groves and the ceremony was beautifully conducted by Raju Bhai Joshi and there were alot of fun moments during the ceremony especially when Priyesh place a mirror infront of himself so as the anterpath was removed Shilpa saw herself! The reaction was hilarious (See below). Priyesh did manage to sit down before Shilpa did after the Pheras but she got her own back during the Koda Kodi games, even though Priyesh was trying to cheat (Sorry Bro!)

Throughout each wedding event, everyone was so welcoming and I really felt like one of the friends during my time with the Shah’s and Patel’s, I just about remember which ones are Masi’s and Mami’s on Shilpa’s side. I have to admit, I was quite sad when the reception party was over as I really enjoyed my time with everyone and in true Indian style, it took me 30mins to say goodbye! From all of the event, some amazing moments have been captured but there were WAY too many pictures to show, but below are a few of the moment captured from the Hindu Wedding day.

Shilpa & Priyesh, my new neighbours and newly extended family! I cannot wait to show you the full set of images from each wedding event, I wish you all the very best for the future :)

Riti & Jessal’s Hindu Wedding at Parklands, Quendon Hall

So while the summer wedding season is still in full flow and I’ve been fortunate to have photographed some amazing weddings this year.

Riti and Jessal’s wedding is one I’d like to showcase today. It was a sunny day, set in the beautiful surroundings of Parklands Quendon Hall based in Essex. The marquee was looking fab as expected, there was a nice calm in the air before all the fun and madness of the wedding begun. I started my day spending way too long photographing the venue and all of the little things that Riti and Jessal had put an effort into choosing. Soon after, I went to photograph Riti getting ready, she has laid out all her jewellery, hung her wedding outfit all ready for me to photograph, which was a nice thought :) Dil (as usual) did a fab job in making Riti look amazing on her special day although I do wish he kept the Marge Simpson hair do on Riti, oh yeah, and Jessal scrubbed up well too!

Jessal and his entourage came in full force dancing down the drive way and I witnessed some interesting dance moves from the groom himself! After a superb entrance, the Hindu wedding ceremony took place with friends and family and it was day full filled with laughter, joy, smiles, love (of course) and a very emotional goodbye as the day drew to a close. I feel honoured to have photographed Riti and Jessal’s big day and now, for your viewing pleasure, below are some of the moments captured.

Riti and Jessal, I wish you both all the best for the future and may the moments captured bring back all of the memories from your most special day :)

Jess & Dan’s Wedding at Northbrook Park

Jess and Dan recently tied the knot (twice) at Northbrook Park in Surrey and I was honoured to be the one to capture their special day!

Northbrook Park is known for its beautiful grounds and their peacocks that live there. Jess expressed that she would love to have a photograph of a peacock somewhere during the wedding so the challenge was on…I did hope that one would walk infront of the mandap on the day, but no such luck, however, as soon as I’d set up, my assistant (Sam) spotted a peacock and as I crept closer to it, (with my camera all set up) the peacock opened its feather and started shaking them in my direction! I believe this is the mating call, correct? Maybe it was my good looks or my camera the peacock was attracted to….As the day went on, the peacock was always close by and sat on the balcony of Jessica’s room while she was getting ready, we could hear it during the ceremony and I even managed to get the peacock to pose in the background during the portrait session 😉

So what actually happened on the day? 1st was the Civil wedding, then the Hindu wedding, a dinner reception followed by the post wedding games and vidhai (leaving ceremony). I had an absolute blast on their wedding day and the one thing you will see is that Jess and Dan were always smiling and I loved this about them. So now for your viewing pleasure, a few of the moments captured from Jess and Dan’s wedding. I wish you guys all the best for the future.

Priya and Suraj’s Indian wedding at Oshwal Centre, Potters Bar

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, the 2011 summer wedding season has been amazing! I’ve photographed some beautiful weddings and one I really enjoyed was Priya and Suraj’s Indian wedding at the very popular Oshwal Centre in Potters bar. We were blessed with a gorgeous day, lots of sun, fun and a lot of smiles throughout the day.

For your viewing pleasure, a few of the moments from Priya and Suraj’s big day.

Arti & Vipin’s Hindu Wedding & Reception Party at Epsom Downs Race Course

Arti and Vipin’s special day was my 1st 2012 Hindu wedding & Reception party all in one day, plus a Civil inbetween! There was a beautiful sunrise at 7am when I arrived at Epsom Race Course, so I made Naresh from Lax Videography pull over several times while I ran out and caught the perfect shot of the sun rising! I had an absolute blast on the day, everyone was in good spirits and it was an honor to capture Arti and Vipin’s wedding memories. The Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted, Vipin’s sister’s laughed a lot (probably more-so at me and my Homer Simpson socks! ).

Then followed by the Civil ceremony and after a short break we pretty much straight into the reception party which featured a Dhol-bot! (think of a Robot playing the Dhol) and all the guests partied hard! For me, it was the 1st time a groom has picked me up and spun me around on the dance floor, I held onto my camera with my life at the moment! 17 hours later, I reflected on what a fantastic wedding I had just captured and thought to myself, I love what I do!

Arti & Vipin, I wish you ALL the very best for the future, you guys are great together. A big thank you to the Raninga and Nayyar families for making me feel very welcome during the 2 wedding events.

Below are a few of the moments captured, enjoy :)
